SGU was **** and the ratings reflect it.

Whoever says different is in the minority.

I'm honestly glad it failed, if only because TPTB are rude, arrogant, condescending ****s.

while you are entitled to that view.... i'm in my right to completely and utterly disagree...

I really enjoyed the show for what it was, a true spin off from the SG norm with a different direction and angle.

I'm not saying the show had it's share of problems, but it's sad to see people completely rubbish it.

:up::up::up:

I'm boycotting SyFy in a way...i'm refusing to watch anything live.

Terriers was one of the best shows this television season and it had **** ratings and was canceled. So bad ratings does not equal bad quality.

Yeah, it had its fair share of problems, but seemed to be hitting it's stride before the break. But alas, the fanboys just wanted more of the same space battles, techno-babble and all the characters happy and working to together.

So now that MGM's out of Bankruptcy, is it possible we could get the SG1/SGA movies now?

Yeah, that betd1 really is seems to be in the know with MGM and the Stargate folks. I wouldn't hold any stock in what some anonymous person has to say about the hows and whys of all this.

MGM was/is in a bad place financially. That's really the sole reason there has been no movement on the movie front. Honestly, like I said earlier I love it if they wait as long as possible to do an SGA movie, and make SGU to piss the fanboys off even more.

Lmao. Probably had the people from Hollywood Treasure do it.

yes, it's horrible that they've sold the sets... but, if MGM want the movies bad enough, couldn't they just rebuild them?

Fans... and whatnot... they basically set up a **** load of auctions on-line and sold it all...

wish i'd had the £££ to get at least something

I don't think so....SGU is/was a failure...if MGM wants to regroup and restart things, either with DTVs or series TV, they should just stick to the SG-1/SGA stuff, its what this franchise has grown to be and it's what the fans seem to like

I hate to keep repeating myself but SGUs audience dropped BY HALF before the end of its initial run of episodes...and people didn't care enough about it to follow it to a new night

Eureka has moved almost every new season and it has held its audience

If SGU got a movie, it would be DTV. MGM would be stupid to use SGU as a basis for a theatrical movie.

Roland Emmerich was talking about continuing the story of Stargate from the original movie. Since he doesn't consider the tv shows cannon I was wondering how he would dissociate his movies and inform the public this was the actual cannon especially with the tv version of Stargate still on. Now that Stargate has been canceled completely from tv does anyone the Emmerich may try to finish his Stargate trilogy?

Emmerich can take his trilogy and shove it. Nothing against the man or his original trilogy idea, but there's no point to it now.

Once SG1 took off on Showtime, he said he'd given up on continuing the trilogy of movies.

Besides, the original movie didn't do all that well, and was so long ago, there'd be no point in trying to continue it.

Similarly, there's no point in either trying to continue any of the 3 SG shows in the theater, or adding something new to the franchise in the theater. It'll pretty much be another Firefly/Serenity. Only the fans will go see it because there's no way you can just bypass all that history and still have a film that makes sense for those who never watched the show. (Granted, with it's fanbase, it would probably have a more successful release than Serenity.)

Well, I'm interested in it. I'd like to see what they could do with Stargate and a big budget.
