We know theres at least 20 episodes in season 9 so its not that short. Its just taking that stupid 4 month break at the moment. Good thing for me is that in just over 2 months Sky One should have overtaken the US in the eps its shown coz we dont have a break

I happen to like the break myself. It means that SG-1, SGA, and BSG all start playing new epis, while other shows continue on their Dec/Jan break. (it is infact what got me watching SGwhatever in the first place, the fact that nothing new is on regular TV til mid february).

And atleast you get a consistant run of new epis, unlike other shows, where they should a few new shows, then take a month off randomly.

oh, and PS. they are promoting summer finales, not season finales. You had a brain fart. Check the site, it says summer finale

All of the actual TV commercials say "season finale," though. For SG-1, SGA, and BSG.

Saw the new SGA last night. SPOILAGE

Actually a pretty cool epi. The Aurora is a an ancient recon ship. It is discovered by the long range sensors when powered by the ZPM. Anyhow, SGA-1 goes to check it out on the Daedelus, and finds an entire crew of ancients in stasis, with a virtual reality link, so that they are living, but in VR. However a wraith infiltrates the system, trying to trick the ancients into teaching him how to make intergalactic hyperdrive systems. Our team is victorious when sheppard convinces the captain of the aurora the truth. The captain self destructs the ship, and destroys the two Wraith cruisers closing in on it to capture its secrets.

Pretty good epi... and kind of funny to watch shep and mcay jump in and out of the VR a their own whim.

That tends to happen a lot. Can't have the humans advancing too close to the Ancients' level, can we? After all, we're apparently faring much better than they did against the Wraith at our current tech level, so any more and we'd probably wipe them out in 2 episodes.

True & with that one ULTIMATE Weapon they have against the Wraith only a matter of time before they make some bombs & guns with the "Wraith Cure" in them

1)there is no wraith cure. The wraith are bugs that became more human. The cure only works on humans that have become more wraith.

2) yeah, they didn't get anything out of the ship, but the reason the crew of the Aurora was building a super hyperdrive, was to get some extremely vital info to Atlantis, something about an ultimate weakness in the Wraith technology. Sadly, the information was lost, and not even the captain of the ship knew what it was (it was too delicate for anyone to know apparently).

So there is a way to defeat the Wraith, it's just been lost.

well, the atlantis summer finale was alright.

Everyone gets hopped up on Wraith enzyme, go stupid and get captured. That's pretty much what happened. All the issues that occur b/w Shep and Ford are stupid, and it points to Sheppards inexperience as a leader (ie. he never tries to actually reason with ford, but rather use emotional strategies, or argue.)

I guess Atlantis security just went down the tubes, because Shep is on his knees face to face with a matriarch... meaning that the wraith are going to know that Atlantis wasn't actually destroyed. However, they very conveniently planted in a small fact that will probably save them that trouble. The idea that the Wraith are splintered, and that they minimize intership communication in order to keep Taela and others like her from gaining too much info concerning the wraith fleet (can we say stupid, and so not fun)

It's gonna be cool to see Ronin Enzyme Rage out of his cage (it's gotta happen sooner or later). Any ideas at how they're gonna get out of their situation?

I have a feeling that MCay is gonna roid up, and go commando in order to save everyone.

On the first episode tonight, why didn't they just SHOOT the Wraith in the pod?

I think Mckay had said something about that when they found the wraith. He didn't know how it had rigged the vr land. He was sure what it had done to sabatoge the sleepers. So I think that's what happened. I'll have to watch the episode again.

Finally got to watch Episode 10. So the ***** Wraith read Shepards mind at the end. This should be an interesting rest of Season 2 when it resumes. Although I do think that Hive Ship will "Magically" Blow Up before the Wraith can use that new info as usual.

The Wraith are getting really boring now. They could have had Anubis,s son escaping to Pegasus and have him being the new bad guy. He was way too cool to just kill off.

nah, that's not right. The wraith are good villains. What's wrong, is that they rarely show them on the bloody show. Every now and then they show them,,, but they never do anything scary, or threatening.

Now I can understand the absence of the wraith early this season, b/c they don't know that atlantis has survived, but still I think we've seen far too little of them. They should be in atleast every other episode, if not all

I don't like the personality of the wraith. They arn't interesting. Just feed and destroy. So boring. I like a bad guy with depth.

well I think that their lack of depth (I agree) stems from the fact that they are rarely on the show i

i agree they really need to develop the wraith more. my parents have been telling me how boring SG-1 is now but I dont think so. Its a transfering season and its really interesting. I have been a loyal fan of SG-1 since the pilot premiered. I love SG-1 and Atlantis. I hope to get into Film-making but I really want to work on SG-1 and A. It would be so awesome to work on the best shows on television. Specifically as a writer. But a boy can dream i suppose.

I think every new season of stargate differs from the last. I think learning to adapt to each new season is part of the fun and part of what has kept it going to 9 series. Star Trek series never last this long. I am realy likeing this whole Ori storyline and will love it even more if the bring in more stuff the do with King Arthur.

I don't think there is anything you can do to make the wraith really that interesting. They are just energy vampires with no set personality. I really miss the Gould.

i know, this is more of a transfering season. its bringing us to a new section of the SG-1 universe. A different age. Not all of the Goa'uld are gone though, we will encounter more. And we may even see the return of some classic characters.

Would like to see the nox back. Also i am sure not all of the tollen were killed off all that tech some must have survived.
still would like to see Shocar return too he was cool

Oh man, i totally agree. But my one question is; When Are We Going To See The Furlings??????!!!!!! I have been waiting for seven years now. But still no Furlings.

FURRRRLIIIIIINGSSSS!

As long as they don't look like Ewoks.

Maybe they should be a disgusting, evil looking species. They're really nice and peaceful like the Asgard/Nox, but to humans, they look horrible or malevolent.

Exactly! They should be like seven feet tall and totally badass. They should have the tech and power to fight the orii/priors. and they should look very monstrous.

They should look like something out of Earth myth Maybe the race that the Dragon legends some from mix it up with the Camalot theme they had going towards the begining of the series. The they can have them turning bad for next season.
