Isn't the function of those to protect ones arms when in hand to hand combat, especially someone who is coming after you with a sharp edged weapon. I think a little leather on the arms would go a long way in a fight like that.

I don't think they're going on a mission there. I think they're suited up to handle something in the base. Although, if they are going on a mission, I'm sure they have some reason to take Walter. They don't just bring people along willy-nilly unless their names happen to be Vala.

Not too surprising after seeing Teal'c and Mitchell in very Star Treky uniforms and Mitchell giving the "Warp speed" command in the commercial.

What is surprising is how much Amanda looks like the Farscape charater.

anyone think that the summer finale will end with the aquisition of a replicator ZPM, maybe 2 (although that's too much at one time)? How do you suppose that Jack will deal with these older more advanced human form replicators?

I dont really watch Atlantis, just the occassional episode so whats a replicator ZPM?

I'll give you the rundown: last episode of sga, a MLK is sent through the gate, and finds friendlies. Turns out these friendlies are ancients who have an intact Atlantis Class pleasure ship, and an entire ancient city on the planet which it resides at (and this city is fully functional, and fully powered). Bla bla bla, to make a long story short, it turns out these ancients are an ancient version of the replicators hellbent on destroying Atlantis and the last remnants of the ancients (because the ancients were mean to them). McKay managed to destroy the Replicator atlantis, but they are building another to come get us.

So, for the summer finale, the spoilers say we get another cross over cameo, with General Oneill entering the fray in Pegasus b/c he is the intergalactic expert in destroying replicators. I suspect he will succeed in doing so. But what about all those useful ZPMs, not to mention, drones, PJs?

Thats the thing we do not know what is real & what is not they are going to "toy" with us. Especially with the Furlings. They are taking their missions & stuff & twisting them around. Vala said it best
