It looks like Jack is given a chance to go through the Gate with the Original 3

Pfffft, should have been Hammond!

I agree but the Wizard Of Oz spoof seems to be Valas idea & she does not know Hammond. Hammond seems to be absent in this Episode aside from the Team America Spoof

Well she has met Hammond briefly when she took the Prometheus but yeah I get what you mean. Shame it wasnt written a bit differently though because as ive mentioned before, I simply dont like Landry (Or Mitchell but thats not who were talking about :p )

I can only hope that Jack turned off the gate while Mitchell was stepping through it and he returned to his rightful place!

This Episode has the chance to be the greatest SG-1 Episode ever.

Star Wars, Farscape, Star Trek, Team America, Wizard Of Oz, themselves as Teenagers & making fun of themselves

Got to love it

Does anyone else not like Teal'c with a P90? I just really dont think he looks right and should stick with the staff.

I just love these. It looks like they are making fun of the first Episode. They should totally do a puppet version of it

It does look like a very good episode, I just hope some of the scenes dont feel a bit rushed as I expect this idea could easily fill 2 eps!

Personally I think thats whats going to happen I expect it. Martain came to the SGC for ideas for the Wormhole Xtreme Movie & they all give him an idea & he pretty much decides good or bad & then they move on to the next idea. It just depends on how they do it. The pictures look great but how they do it s going to play a big factor here

HOLY!!!
O'Neill is...
Mitchell's...
That is just...
HOLY SNAKES ON A MOTHER F***IN' PLANE BATMAN!!!

I didn't watch the entire episode but I hate these type of stories. They're so self indulgent and are almost as bad as a clip show which is just a simple way of killing time off the season. It seems to me that it used to be easier for the writers to come up with interesting ideas during the earlier seasons. With SG1 it's either the season arc or nothing. Atlantis at least comes up with fairly interesting stories when they're not focusing on the Wraith.

I'm sure it was easier for the writers to come up with interesting ideas early in the series. They didn't have nine seasons and 200 episodes behind them.

SGA isn't that much better either though. I think that atleast 20% of SGA episodes have been adaptations of already done SG1 episodes. And season long arc's are far more fulfilling than crappy single serving nonence (that leads to episodes like yawn, the second episode of this season).

Anyhow, the epi was fun. Loved when the puppets went through the gate, and collapsed on the other side, only to have puppet Teal'c mwuahhahahahaha them on the other side, classic.

The teen steam adaptation was classic too 'BTW, I'm pregnant'. Jokes.

As I stated in the post above this one: SGA recycles too many cliche stories done on SG1 and other shows.

I just finished watch the epi, and I have to say, that I already saw this episode of Deep Space Nine. I hate these tripping out in a mental institute scifi episodes. Total waste of time, especially since last week, they already did the mind invasion thing.

SGA really needs to break some new ground, as far a story telling goes. Very weak episode.

SG SG1 200th episode wasn't that bad still wish they would fire the 2 cast members from farscape they can't act there way out of a paper bag.

I think Vala is a pretty good character (underused in the latest epis). Browder on the other hand, is not working out to well. Mainly because he still has no reason for existing. They gave him that Sudan training, which went no where except for forcing him to charge a crazy jaffa stronghold for pretty much no reason. I think that the Sudan arc could really have given Mitchell something that would make his character worthwhile. But they just pissed it away by killing off the Sudan in the next episode or something. I'm dissappointed about that whole Sudan business actually. So much potential for that concept of puritan jaffa warriors, I'll post about that later

I saw it in Buffy, myself. Pretty much scene-for-scene in some places, right down to the haggard look Sarah Michelle Gellar and Torri Higginson both wear on their faces in the institution.

What's wrong with their acting, specifically? I don't think any of us SG-1 fans can really complain about acting, given that Michael Shanks has been playing "Michael Shanks as Daniel Jackson" since season seven.

Uh maybe the reason why you're not interested in the self contained episodes is because almost no effort is actually put into them anymore. Filler episodes by their nature are not bad. Some of the best episodes of SG-1 have been filler episodes.
