Stars you would like to see on television

You're right, I forgot about that. I guess I was thinking about which actors I'd like to see have their OWN series.

James Franco was also on a show called Freaks & Geeks back in the late 90's with other big time actors like Seth Rogan & Jason Segel.

I think it's Jennifer Aniston's time. How many of her movies end up being any good? With good writing backing her, I would love to see her back on TV.

Jerry Seinfeld, I guess by extension u could say that he's on tv with Larry David lol

For some reason, I really feel like Pierce Brosnan's return is coming.

John Cusack in an hour long USA styled show (like Monk, Psych, etc) sorta serious, sorta funny

An article I just read from the Hollywood Reporter said he might be likely to do a pilot this season. I was a bit surprised, honestly.

Cusack turned down playing Walter White but of course Mad Men hadn't aired yet.

Michael Keaton in a comedy or drama would be great.

She did used to be in that show about a PI. I forget what it's called.
Karen Sisco. She was also on Political Animals and New Girl just last year. I do think she should be the lead in something again, though.

Eliza Dushku and Laura Vandervoort need to come back to tv. in thier own shows.

I thought Eliza Dushku only really does TV anyway. And Laura Vandervoort pretty much. It's probably just a matter of time before they reappear.

Yeah, maybe Mila Kunis in her own show too. as for Eliza and Laura, Ijust think they deserve better than guest starring in some cop show or ending up like Carmen Electra or Kari Wuher. Who just see in cheesy stuff.

Gary Oldman (in Person of Interest).

After rewatching her episode of 30 Rock and looking at some of her recent non-romcom movies (Horrible Bosses, We're The Millers), I'd be into Jennifer Aniston making a TV comeback. Maybe a cable comedy, maybe something Tina Fey-written, I don't know, I'm just spit-balling... :o

The New A-List: The Actors Getting All the TV Offers
10:00 AM PDT 9/11/2013 by Lacey Rose

Rose Byrne, Kate Hudson, Linda Cardellini, James Marsden and Paul Bettany are some of the surprising names who are getting deluged with broadcast and cable offers for comedies and dramas this season.

This story first appeared in the Sept. 20 issue of The Hollywood Reporter magazine.

For two years running, Rose Byrne's name has landed atop more than a dozen castings wish lists.

Hot off of her comedic turn in 2011's Bridesmaids, the Damages star was being courted both for television comedies and dramas. And she isn't the only one with casting directors banging down her door. Among the others who have the latter drooling: Kate Hudson, Isla Fisher, Marisa Tomei, Jessica Alba, Diane Lane, Julianne Moore, Michelle Monaghan and Halle Berry.

Following a buzzworthy arc on Mad Men, former Freaks and Geeks star Linda Cardellini is expected to be deluged with offers as well. Monaghan, who will appear in HBO's event series True Detective, was the first choice for NBC's hotly anticipated The Blacklist (the part went to Megan Boone), Tomei came close with the Emily Mortimer role on HBO's The Newsroom, and Hudson's name surfaced for a big project at HBO as well as broadcast entries including CBS' Bad Teacher.

A tier below is a subset of in-demand women who regularly field multiple offers -- and consistently take small-screen roles. That set is led by such names as Becki Newton, Sarah Chalke and recent addition Ellie Kemper, who like Byrne and The Goldbergs' Wendi McLendon-Covey, benefited from the Bridesmaids glow.

The list of men is slightly shorter, in part because many of the recent "gets" have signed on to high-profile projects. Atop that list was Kyle Chandler, who coming off of Friday Night Lights passed on dozens of broadcast and cable projects including Emmy winner Homeland before taking the lead in Showtime's The Vatican.

Others included House of Cards actor Corey Stoll, who was swarmed with offers and ultimately opted to take FX's The Strain, Dominic West (Showtime's The Affair), Justin Kirk (FX's Tyrant) and James Spader (The Blacklist).

Still left on the wish list: James Marsden, a red-hot pick for multiple comedy projects, along with Josh Duhamel, Matthew Fox, Casey Affleck, Patrick Wilson, Topher Grace, Hugh Laurie and Paul Bettany, who turned down an offer to star in Fox's Sleepy Hollow. Grace is said to be circling an HBO project, while Laurie, following his long-running turn on House, has passed on a slew of offers, including the Spader role in Blacklist.
Interesting to see who has been approached for what. I can kind of picture Kyle Chandler as Brody.

Since Kyle Chandler was brought up (he is awesome and needs to be on my TV ASAP), my wife brought up last night how she would like to see "Tim Riggins" (Taylor Kitsch) show up at least for a story arc on Sons of Anarchy. I feel like I could dig that, and I don't think starring roles in movies are going to keep landing in his lap, so get Riggins back on TV!
