What would you prefer?

I'd prefer an R-Rated Mini Series on HBO or Showtime because this franchise can go on for quite some time and it's more epic than one film. If successful it could be spun off into a regular ongoing series. Keep it hard action and get Van Dien back in as Rico! A theatrical sequel ignoring the DTV film would be great but again it wouldn't be enough. The novel was epic and a series could really get fun.

Bring Casper back though or forget it.

I want to see Rico and the Roughnecks again.
I would love to see a new Film that is is the true Sequel to one of my favorite Sci-fi films.
I could and have watched it all day.
But an Hbo mini would be cool, too bad I don't have HBO.

Hey Casper thanks for joining. Most everyone loved your character in the first film and most fans were disgusted by the DTV sequel. I remember you campaigning for that not to happen. Hopefully they'll realize the value of the franchise and get something going.

Any of you guys read the novel? Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein?

James Cameron's Aliens is based on it.

The Verhoeven movie is a wonderful satire. It's absolutely not to be taken seriously.

there's so much to explore in the universe set up by the first film that an R rated miniseries would be the best way to go. but if they make a theatrical sequel with rico and the roughnecks i'll definitely be there. and bring doogie howser back for the sequel too!

Yeah that would be good. Perhaps he should start talking to Zak Penn about the Young X-Men film or if they ever do an origin X-film.

Herman Munster LOL. Remember he did the Arrival 2. The Arrival is one of my favorite Sci-Fi films. A total shocker that I missed in the theatres. Great great great great film. The sequel was kind of stupid.

Man, ST rules. I love that ****ing movie! I want a real sequel, where Rico is a higher ranked officer and such and such, more bug worlds to be nuked, invasions, more anti-bug propaganda, bug terrorists infiltrating Earth. More Verhoeven awesomeness!

That was a high quality cartoon. I remember turning on the TV one night and saying...that looks like ST...oh **** it is! The visuals were stunning but it was repetitive as hell.
