B.P.R.D.

No idea who they may be, so no opinion on them.

Really? You never saw any of the Hellboy movies? They're his team. Abe Sapian, that fire chick.....the German gas dude....the Homunculi thing.....I like the Homunculi thing.

I love the BPRD. They're way more interesting than Hellboy.

I like them better in the comics than the movie. I haven't got around to reading the B.P.R.D. comic, but in the Hellboy series I've read them in I'm digging them.

Sometimes in a blue moon I may try an indie comic, but I usually stick with DC/Marvel.

Well, I absolutely love the BPRD. Just completely cool characters, drawn and written extremely well.

Anyway, here's today's one:

Predators

Well, personally, I've only ever read one Predator comic; Concrete Jungle, and it may very well have been the single dumbest comic book I've ever read.
Just... insultingly awful.

I read the Batman vs. Predator comic, and that's my only comic experience with them. It was okay, but not nearly as good as I was hoping it would be.

They are pretty damn cool in the first two movies. After that it seems like they keep moving away from having them as the badasses that they were, and they seem to focus on the gadgets more than the warrior part.

Yeah, I agree about the movies. Predators gets a lot **** but I thought that was pretty good too.

(Those AVP movies were atrocious, though)

The Predator or their species have to be one of the deadliest & cunning hunters.

Okay, so I'm gonna put the vagina-faced ones out of their misery and move on to the next character:

John Carter

Always loved the concept, which is why I love all the imitation and homage characters that have cropped up over the years.

I really like BPRD, unfortunately it become all too military with the whole plague of frogs thingy, and it's getting tiring to avoid world destruction every Thursday....

Carter's Dynamite series is actually pretty entertaining (Once you get over the trashy, pulp tone and Deja Thoris' unbelievably ****ty outfits)
And the movie was nowhere near as bad as people led me to believe.

Anyway! It's that time again!

Dante and Randall

Dante's a whiney b***h and Randall's a *****e.....so they're alright. :o

Dante and Randall

They're passable characters.

I haven't read the comics but both Clerks films are great, IMO, and Randall and Dante are funny as **** in them.

Dante: "You get me slapped with a fine, you argue with the customers and I have to patch everything up, you get us thrown out of a funeral by violating the corpse, and then to top it off, you ruin my relationship. I mean, what's your encore? Do you, like, anally rape my mother while pouring sugar in my gas tank?!"

:hehe:

Dante and Randall are my least favorite View Askew Characters. Didn't care for them in the first Clerks movie, but they were pretty funny in the animated show and in Clerks 2.

LOVE THE SIMPSONS !!! In the begining, it was all about Bart, but Homer really carries that series. Dude is like the funniest idiot ever created.

I remember the comic book was surprisingly great, if I remember.

The tv series used to be the funniest show ever made but, yeah, sitting through it these days is a little bit like watching an old, beloved friend slip slowly into incontinent senility... .

The Simpsons are extremely hilarious, but I feel the tv show has run it's course & has been running a little too much, sometimes it even feels as if they're trying too hard to get a laugh or new storyline.

These days, they do that thing that REALLY annoys me in tv shows: they acknowledge in the show how bad the jokes are... as if that'll redeem the crappiness in some way. :whatever:
