I am a big fan of Pitt, and I agree with PaleRider that the best part of it was Keown's artwork. Basically the comic was like the Hulk, if the hulk actually had the stones to kill people. Don't get me wrong, I love the Hulk in his various incarnations as well, but when you have a being of that much raw power and rage it sometimes just gets tiring seeing stories where he never actually lets the rage loose in a lethal way.
I own the whole Pitt series (all signed by Keown) and overall it's pretty great. But I bought them all after the fact. The problem, as I understand it, with the series as it was coming out was that Keown had the same problem most of the image creators had, they had way to many missed deadlines. From what I've heard instead of being monthly as advertised there were times where people had to 6 months or something. But then I guess "Image United" is a prime example that those geniuses at Image still haven't learned their lesson from the 90s. Which is just sad.
Anyways, this is a character that was really a product of 90s comics but in the best possible way imo.
