State your unpopular Batman related opinion

I don't like how DC is trying to make Harley Quinn DC's version of Deadpool, by shoving her into lead role nonstop. She doesn't work in lead roles, as she's a purposefully annoying character, and it just doesn't work. She works in bite size chunks or as a side character. It's just too much annoyance. It's like making Janice from Friends the star of the show, when she only works in small doses. If you made Janice the star of Friends, it would've totally destroyed that show.

I would agree with you if there was a different actor in the role of Harley atm. I personally find Harley, especially with Margot in the role, very funny, cute, and entertaining all around. She’s a pest and that makes me laugh, not cringe. But I get it. Janice was straight up annoying, with nothing else to her character so I don’t get that comparison. Her voice and laugh were nails on a chalkboard. Margot’s Harley voice is perfection.

I cannot stand the costume they're using for the new Batman movie they're trying to create. It's terrible.

Otherwise as comic books go, it is really hard to say. I like the supposedly lesser tier characters, and prefer things like Teen Titans to Justice League as an example. I feel like the normal main publications of the popular big name heroes are not always as engaging or as interesting and are too predictable often times.

I don't like Ben Affleck's Batman. Beyond the numerous problems with the script and characterization, which are very admittedly the biggest problems, I have a really hard time getting past the fact that it's Ben Affleck in a Batsuit or Ben Affleck in a tuxedo in an effort to buy that he's the character. Snyder made a mistake in casting a name for the role because at the time they were cast, every other actor to play Batman in live action hadn't built up a high profile career spanning two decades.

Anyone who has a problem with Robin because they believe that Batman works best on his own either willingly ignores Alfred and Gordon or are seriously deluded about Bruce as a character. Batman worked solo for less than a year in his overall history. There are a shockingly few stories in the comics, shows, games, or other media where Batman is shown to be entirely working by himself. He needs people in his circle.

Well, it's practically the Dark Knight Returns.

Here's a hot take: Batman sucks. An insanely privileged trust fund lad whose solution to tackling crime and inequality is to wage an urban war bought by his immense wealth rather than using that wealth to invest in the poorer communities.

Daredevil makes vast more sense because:

1. He is poor. Being a neighborhood vigilante is the only way he can contribute to society. Not to mention he is a fricking attorney at law on his free time. Doing invaluable work for the poor. Unlike Wayne, who elects to be a wasteful Playboy.

2. His enhanced senses make it impossible for him to tune out street level crime.

Batman is only made interesting by the pulpy gimickery of his city and rogues gallery.

This is exactly what makes Batman interesting IMO and makes Daredevil the same as any other vigilante.

I definitely agree! Like with Deadpool, I only like her in small doses in general but find them very overrated and so them having such big roles on films sucks for me.

Harley not just being in the first Birds of Prey film but the main focus and star is very annoying. Margot Robbie is great in the role but it's not for my liking

Here's another thing to put on my unpopular opinions list: I love Batman: The Animated Series, but I really am not a fan of Batman Beyond. I get the concept, but man I would have rather seen a Nightwing spinoff show.

-Batman Beyond is the third best batman animated show behind The Animated Series and The New Adventures of Batman.

-The Batman Beyond suit is the best batsuit of in general.

-Val Kilmer is the best live action Bruce Wayne and third best batman after Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck.

-The Batman's batmobile is the 2nd best live action batmobile after Tim Burton's.

-Jack Nicholson is the best live action Joker.

-Batman Arkham Asylum is the best batman game in terms on story while Arkham Knight has the best gameplay and graphics.

-Christian Bale's bat voice was good in Batman Begins.

-Batman Begin's suit is much better than TDK/TDKR's

-Bane's characterization in Batman & Robin was terrible but he looked cool and was comic accurate

I like Batman Beyond but I can't deny that a Nightwing spin-off would have been really interesting.

There has yet to be a clearly well choreographed Batman fight scene that incorporates all of the awesome gymnastics, agility and profound speed at which Batman moves in the comics. BvS was great but still hollywood hasn’t made that definitive awesome Batman fight scene. I feel like they did justice to fighting abilities of captain america in the comics in the winter soldier film.

I always thought that most of the fight scenes in the Nolan movies were fine and I guess I'm in the minority since most dislike most of the action/fight sequences in the TDK trilogy.

It doesn't get mentioned a lot, but I really like the club fight.

The elbow shots work. Everything is quick and effective. And the lighting helps. Other times, when he uses that elbow technique or a big forearm across the back, it comes off really slow. What bugs me the most about TDK fight scenes, are those big slow forearms that he uses over and over again. Almost every fight has a moment like that and it looks like the criminal is waiting there for 3 seconds for Batman to wind up and land it.
