I'm waiting for someone to do a modern dance movie with the word 'Boogaloo' in it...because I know it's coming, so help me god I KNOW it's coming...

And that would be a dance movie that didn't take itself so seriously... not a bad Idea...

I enjoyed a lot of the dancing in Step Up 2... some of those guys were really good... some were weak, and some of the choreography was laughable... but Michael Sevari and the last rain scene kinda made the movie worth it... kind of like a Kung Fu flick... story? Nah. Acting? Nah. Dancing? More please.

If they get more dancing in on the same caliber, if they get more talented dancers and allow some of these guys to freestyle and do what they do best, and become aware that the melodrama is not what sells the movie, only pipelines the thing that people really came to see... well... Step Up 3 could be a lot of fun...

For people who like dancing.

Agreed. I never saw the first movie but really enjoyed Step Up 2 and it was the first (only) dance movie I ever saw in theaters. I'll be giving Step Up 3D a shot. And great comparison to kung fu movies. Spot on.

Thaaaaat's pretty subjective. I'm going to love the heck out of this film, but it IS easy to make fun of.

uhhhhhhhh......who said it wasn't easy to make fun of? Surely not I.
The love formula has been done the exact same way for each and every one of these films, and it makes for some cheesy moments for sure.

BUT the 3D that I saw based on the trailer was ACTUAL 3D and I had a better 2 minutes watching this trailer in theaters than I did watching the entire CLASH movie.

And despite what haters and moaners say, the dancing and 3D work very well together.
