Well, the way you said it implied that you needed the 60 Minutes report to realize that it was just an act.C.F. Kane said:I was referring to the character he plays on The Report, obviously
Just because he hasn't murdered everyone that questions him doesn't mean he's putting up with it. He's doing the opposite of putting up with a lot of questioning because his administration is less open (re: doesn't answer questions) than pretty much any other administration. So no, your statement wasn't "simply and makes sense." Seriously, from your point of view, what would have have to do to not put up with questioning, if not answering questions doesn't count? Nuke the press?Admiral_N8 said:I said Bush has tolerated the most questioning, and he has. Bush has
"put up with something or somebody unpleasant" more than any other president, hes had the most criticism around the country in the world than any other president in the last 60 years.
So my statement is simply and makes sense.
Just because he tries to be secretive doesnt mean he somehow doesnt "put up with something or somebody unpleasant" [which is what tolerate means fyi] Hes put up with the most crap because of what hes done.
Admiral_N8 said:That doesnt mean he hasnt tolerated all this crap. He has put up with so much criticism, I mean I am sure you read the news and see how many people hate him and throw crap his way.
Simple.
Just because he doesnt speak a lot doesnt mean he doesnt tolerate things....look the word up.

Socrates said:Colbert is great.
"What seems to be the problem, sir?"
"She won't stop asking why we invaded Iraq!"
"Hey why did we invade Iraq?"
"Noooooooo!"
Hehe.
S'ok, nobody's perfect. Except Colbert.C.F. Kane said:Yeah, after rereading what I posted it does sound foolish.
I often fall victim to my own poor choice of words.
sinewave said:i think he's saying you've reached their level of blind support for bush and partisan hackery. although i'd say it's more of an insult to lazur than the other two. he's gotten a lot better over the last few months. you're just completely mis-informed and seem to mindlessly tow the GOP line.

sinewave said:well, he's already stated he doesn't read newspapers and it's pretty well known that his staff insulates him and feeds him only what he wants to hear, so he's probably not aware of most of the criticism against him. he never seems to actually address some of the complaints against him, as evidence by his stubborn refusal to change his policy on many issues. he's fired people within his cabinet and military team who've dared to question some of this policies or offer alternatives. he's stubborn, closed-minded and divorced from what the rest of the country and most of the government believe see as reality. that's no way to run anything, especially the most powerful country in the world. have you ever watched a press confrerence where someone will question his decisions or policies and he goes into his condescending mode where he tries to over-simplfy the situation and talk down to the people asking the question like he's above reproach? he's got horrible diplomatic skills.

And you are?
sinewave said:yup, the bush apologist type that's helping to drag this country down.

sinewave said:that was all superficial stuff about his lack of speaking skills and a charicature of some of the things that have been said in the "liberal" media about him. besides, he didn't even write that lame-ass sketch so why are you even bringing that up. you look like a fool trying to stick up for an even bigger fool. 60% of the country has realized this. i guess you're part of the clueless 32% who still support him.
