Stephen King Adaptations.

I think The Shining miniseries would have been a lot better if Gary Sinise had play Jack, it might be a bit obvious/repetitive for him having recently played Stu but more appropriate for him to play both, he would be fitting for both and for the multiple aspects of Jack.

And it's interesting to think if Kubrick had had Harrison Ford as Jack in his version, he did consider him, that would have probably pleased King wanting to have a likeable/trustworthy star in the role and have more surprise later but the dark murderous side later may have been just too different from Han Ford too soon. The film outright skipping a whole initial month is very weird but especially if you like I love both the book and film you can easily imagine that similar events happened then.

Heh, Ford eventually got to do his Jack Torrance in What Lies Beneath.
 
I am still waiting on the remake of Christine which is still my fave to date fave movie based on his books
