when Lex was in Egypt that looked real, not sure where that was shot though? Somewhere in SoCal maybe?

It was a sand pit up in BC... pretty good, huh?

Yet more proof how brilliant Glen Winter is.

Awesome.

:D

They're virtually always just a dressed-up location somewhere in or around Vancouver, even when the crew do a fantastic job of hiding it. I think the lighting effects and filters that hide the dreary Van. weather come pretty close to impressing me the most, though. It's not often that you can tell it's really bucketing down rain ...

This is like when people say it's always snowing in Canada. It does not always rain in Vancouver; it's not dreary at all. It's never to hot, never to cold -- it's a costal city. Like any other.

the only thing i know about canada is that its where all those mountys are. =)

<~~~~~~~stupid american

Hell yeah...

Could it possibly be flight?

Should we hold out hope he'll be working on that all season?

Pat said, I believe, that maybe Clark's learning to fly shouldn't ever be a one shot episode like Whisper or X-Ray and I agree. Maybe TPTB do too...

He will have to struggle to control it and it probably won't be easy... could be a great arc for the season.

I don't want to get my hopes up, I'm just dreaming really, but what if its something that profound?

Could happen, but I gues we'll see.
Now that would bring back the excitement for this upcoming season for me. *fingers crossed you are right*

Some of the other suggestions are good, but as good as flight?

Not even close...

:D

Bring on the flying!

I know it's not always like that. :p

Taking exception to mention of Vancouver's rain and dreary weather is like me taking exception when someone points out the same about England. :O

James, what ever happened to that big addition to your site you told us about in July?

It's taking longer than I thought. Time - there isn't enough of it!

how would a story arch about flight work?
another sun flare disturbance, he misjudges a jump, next thing,
he's dodging planes above metropolis airport - or better, at an air show.. ?

naah.. too comical..:O

Naw, I want to see him try some dives off of the Talon roof, just to land face first into a dumpster.:D

Remeniscent of L&C when Clark had amnesia, and he tried to jump off the roof to fly. hehe, memories.:O

I don't know, but maybe something along the lines of Ralph Hinkley learning to fly in The Greatest American Hero, just not as comical... Clark won't be missing the instruction manual as there is none.

*shrug*

It's probably not flight, however. Just thinking out loud....

The "Greatest American Hero" = One of the greatest comedic shows of all time. I loved that show.:O

Exciting as that would be I think that flying is something that we all know is going to happen eventually. Controlling flight doesnt sound like the kind of thing that DeKnight has been referring to.

yeah I dont even care if they dress up parts of Vancouver like Honduras or China again..... as long as they go with that story I'll buy it and ignore the evergreen trees LOL :D

Well if Stargate SG1 can make Vancouver look like other planets then I dont see it being a problem to have it look like other countries.

I thought it was going to be Clark travelling around the world, but with the first five episodes we already know that Clark is hanging around the gang.

Maybe, he'll take off after episode 5. This way without Clark checking in on him, Lex can get darker, and drag Lana with him. Same thing with Lionel and Martha.

No matter where in the world they are in the show, it always looks like Canada. Plus the fact that on several occations, we can see the mountains..clear as day...in the backround of "Kansas."

I was in Vancouver last month, and those mountains surround the entire city. If you have a wide shot there is no way that you can escape capturing them.

I wonder if they just miss the mountains being in the scene sometimes, because it can't be that hard to edit them out of the backround.

It probably takes time and money that they may not have.

You may be right, I know nothing of movie/show making or the costs thereof. If the money goes toward something else more important, then I'm ok with it.:O

By the way.... Avid for being a StarGate watcher. I swear, between Smallville, House, SG1, and Atlantis, the boobtube keeps me occupied.:D
