Mystery/Thriller Steven Soderbergh’s Spy-Thriller Black Bag |Blanchett, Fassbender

Loved it. Might be too soon to say this, but this is easily one of my favorite films of 2025 so far. Great direction and performances, with Fassbender and Blanchett and everyone else in-between caught in this game of who is telling the truth, and who is the real liar. It's a film about trust and the lengths you go through to keep a secret, even with your loved ones. Also, just about a perfect runtime. This film has no filler or fat. It moves at a brisk pace and makes every scene matter. I will happily buy this when it gets a physical release.

I Liked it a lot.
A Spy film with emphasis on Espionage & character over action.

I did enjoy this but didn’t think it was as good as the glowing reviews made out. Greatness performances by all, and it was nice to get a British spy thriller but they didn’t do enough with the possibility that the wife was the spy IMO. That part was over pretty quickly.

7.5/10
