Steven Spielberg Teams with Stephen King for Under the Dome

Its like the Rev was asking to die all episode long talking about repent this, repent that. He deserved his fate.

FINALLY Joe actually searches for his sister. Too bad he did it minutes before the MOAB event.

That dome survived a thermonuclear attack. Must be alien in origin.

it wasn't thermonuclear. MOAB is a thermobaric bomb, incorrectly depicted as a missile in the show.

I see. Makes sense. Dont want to irradiate the surrounding area.

The sheriff chick is terrible, first she makes the plainly unstable Junior a deputy, then she tells everyone not to touch the dome, only to then go and do exactly that, then she demands everyone get underground for protection before running off to go and see a teen love carving in an old piece of wood.

Barbie should shoot her, Junior and kinda small Jim, buy Angie some shoes and run the town with the Lesbian Moms!

For a few minutes there the weakest part of the series was over. Now that Big Jim as boarded crazy train with his son. I think Angie goes back to the hole with big Jim pulling the strings now.

That's what worries me, hopefully the way her and Junior seemed to "reconcile" will prevent that.

I loved Jim just casually pushing the reverend's head against the dome until he started bleeding out his ear. Just like "Yeah, I'm done listening to you."

As nasty as it was I found myself thinking "thank ****" because the preachers blathering was getting on my nerves.

I dont think that Junior is plainly unstable to anyone in universe besides Angie, Barbie, and big Jim. I dont think it's that bad or farfetched that the lady sheriff deputized him

I don't know what to think. I thought this would at most be 13 Episode Mini series but now it looks like they are going to drag it out? Ugh I just don't know.

The only thing this show has going for it is the Dome mystery. None of the characters are likeable & Junior is overall bringing everybody down

I wish this show would hit AMC type quality, but some of the acting and writing (primarily the teens) is just weak. Still, it's not a bad adaptation, and has made some interesting changes. I really hope the quality of the show at least stays here or better yet improves. As it is, I think I'm almost more interested in the show because of how much I liked the book, and am enjoying a live actin interpretation that's gotten most of it right. 2-3 seasons should be plenty, lets hope it doesn't drag on more than that, and hopefully it actually finishes its run and doesn't get cancelled early cuz I really want to see where they end this as compared to the book.

Yea I really wish this wasn't on CBS. It could be so much better with the cinematography and production quality. Writing could use some work as well. I'm finding it hard to give a damn about anybody still

haha, I actually agree with you and the sheriff chick. How did she even become a cop??

Excuse me for being the first one to not piss and moan about a second season: Stephen King writing the first episode of S2?! Hell yeah.

I have seen all the episodes so far but cannot say that it has really grabbed my full attention. This seems to me like something that should be resolved in the short term - meaning in one series. I mean, how many SF series have got our full attention and then finished with unresolved endings: Terra Nova, V, Flash Forward, The Event ... ?

OK, I thought of this as a joke last week, but does anyone else think..

that the kids kissing helped protect the dome from the missile attack?

I liked the episode tonight. One of the stronger ones I felt. It was good to see the panic reach a boiling point

@Spider-Gnome. If that's what happened then i'd be pissed

Yea but come on, the only show there even worth a damn was Flashforward. V was ok but the end of season 2 was just so ****ing dumb that it's actually a blessing it was cancelled. Terra Nova while it was ok I didn't even see the 2 hour finale and still don't really care. The Event, I watched up until one of the breaks and lost interest. It was damn good actually but some of it just got silly. As silly as some aspects of Flashforward were (just rewatched it like 3 months ago) it was still damn good basically every episode. The episode The Garden of Forking Paths was phenomenal.

really? the 1st person she tells about crazy dad & son is killed? **** that.

I liked the chaos & panic displayed by the town folks tonight. it was good to see them finally snap. two of them went a little far with it though.

I hope those were brand new, never before used trash cans looted from the hardware store that they used.

I understand how the rain came about. but where'd the gust of wind come from? is it even part of the show? or just element of nature they had to put up with while filming?

she's stupid if she takes the deal. I mean yeah, take it if it gets you out of that house. but once out, rally an army & take everything he promised while serving justice.

That is a common TV theme that annoys the hell out of me. Even if it may have happened in the book, either way it didn't make me happy. It's like lazy writing 101.
