Steven Spielberg Teams with Stephen King for Under the Dome

I enjoyed the 2nd episode a lot better than the first.

Too me, he's the worst part of the show. Glad to see him get his ass kicked:woot:

i think one of the problems is, and it looks like it might change next episode, is that the whole story is so separate from the actual Dome story.

That...and the fact that junior just "changed" so fast, yes he got rejected but to turn to the darkside so quickly, it just doesnt sit well with me.

i think the story wouldve been better as something that happens at the end of the season, if at all.

I personally dont care much about Angie because we barely met her and she wasnt that itneresting, so the story just drags on for me.

This show is almost like Lost,if Lost took place from the "Dharma/Others" point of view (in terms of them also been an isolated community)

People aren't panicking enough. They're just eating breakfast like nothing's happening.

I think theyre panicking a fair amount and also it's just the 2nd day

I agree. The people are way too calm knowing that a massive dome just covered their entire town, killing people, animals, and destroying property.

I would be trying to figure out the limits/characteristics of the dome, setup a group of people to communicate with the outside world in writing.

I agree and disagree. I mean, it's not like the Mist where monsters are coming out of the... mist.

It's a dome. No one has died, except those hit by it. No one is starving yet. Plus, they probably figure its some kind of temporary anomaly.

Though I do agree they could be doing more to try to communicate with the outside world... like use a dry erase board and a marker.

But as of episode 2, it's been what maybe 24 hours?

Junior is annoying and the stuff with him and Angie shot by QT in foot fetish mode is the shows weak link so far. Plus it sucks that Jeff Fahey was killed off straight away.

The rest of the characters are pretty interesting though and overall I'm enjoying the show.

Junior isn't Stephen King-crazy enough. :o

Ditto.

Plus she came off like that one chick from An Officer and a Gentleman who was only with that one guy because he was in the Navy. He presented her with a way out of her small town. Junior was Angie's way out but then he said he was dropping out of college. She ends it and he goes nuts. In a way she brought it upon herself.

I want to know what the specifics behind Barbie are. In the book he wasn't killing people and brooding quite like here, so it's keeping me interested to see where this is going.

And yet Fahey is listed in the main cast as if he'd still be around. Makes me wonder just how "dead" he's going to remain, this being Stephen King and I not having any idea about the story.

Do agree that Junior and Angie just sort of drag everything else down. Neither character feels all that interesting or necessary.

Ohh yea she brought being kidnapped and held against her will on herself. Wow

Not what I was trying to say or meant but I can see why my wording would lead to that assumption.

Hahaha just messing with ya man. I got what you were meaning

I'm watching this show simply because Mike Vogel is sooo cute!

lol I love how neither her brother nor her boss seem to give a **** that Angie has been missing for a good two days now.

The kidnapping plot is getting silly now. This show is loosing me. Is this show a mini series ? Because if not then it should be

Junior is deranged.

So there's only the one cop left right? The hell?

The brother didn't even bring her up when talking to the girl about his family's whereabouts. "Dad's a trucker, Mom's in Westlake, .... yep, it's just me." lol

I mean hell, even the bully who showed up & acted like it was his house brought up his sister. lol I hope little Sam Winchester kicks that tool's teeth in. The nerve of that ****er. :cmad:

Under the dome, yep. There must be more outside of it. That town isn't Mayberry small. Or is it.

Wait... This is a miniseries? First I'm hearing about it
