Steven Spielberg Teams with Stephen King for Under the Dome

It's confirmed, two main characters won't survive the first episode.

We kind of know who one of them will be.

I think this might just be the first answer to the "Which two characters are going to die?" question.

If so, good riddance. :o

Sounds like they have plans for [BLACKOUT]Barbie, Junior and Big Jim.[/BLACKOUT] So they're safe.

Probably one of the kids. I don't think the dome needs "the 4" anymore.

Can't be Julia? Someone needs to save Barbie and Barbie needs his woman.

So many ignorant characters it's hard to choose who I want to die more.

Either the fat-ass Radio Station woman or the incredibly stupid female deputy who found the strange egg surrounded by a force-field and said "If anyone's gonna touch it, it's gonna be me" then got knocked the **** out by it

The woman from the radio station is already dead.

Oh, shows how memorable the show has been for me lol

Sucks cause I LOVED the book :(

BKV left the show.

“I actually left my position at Under the Dome a few months ago,” he said. “It was the great thrill of my life to help adapt one of the best book’s ever from my all-time hero, but I’ve got two very young kids at home who I never got to see last season, so I’m enormously grateful to CBS and Amblin for letting me out of my contract a little early.”

Wow, THR is behind. I just read this and thought it was new information. This isn't all that surprising to me at all, really. None of the storytelling choices made in at least the latter half of the first season felt like anything the guy who came up with Runaways and Y The Last Man would've come up with. Unless I read that the season takes a massive upswing in quality from that **** finale, I might be out.

barely 15 minutes and things been crazy

and there was Mr King

oh crap! not that girl too

Well, a more memorable episode then half of last season. Wondering where this is going. I do have to say, I wonder if the magnet or the dome ended the pulses. Everything really seemed to point to Big Jim dying, but then, suddenly it wants the killing to stop? Um, not really buying that.

Interesting cliffhanger we were left with at the latest episode. One thing I really don't want to happen this season is to have Barbie get into a relationship with the High School Science teacher or Julia wind up with that stranger dude. It'd just be like Lost all over again.

so is that girl supposed to be the dome in human form?

i was surprised to see the chick from misfits as the science teacher.

That was solid, King writing the episode might be one of the reasons the reaction seems better.

Great episode. Ya, there were still some issues, but wow, Stephen didn't pull any punches and the stakes went up immediately while seemingly bringing back elements from the book that were excellent. Did he write more episodes this season? Hopefully this encourages the regular writers to keep swinging for the fences. Still really hoping for Phil Bushey from the book to show up though...

At least now we know which two didn't survive. I expected the cop, but Angie?

And yeah, that weird girl may be connected to the egg. She came out of the water where Julia threw the egg in and appears to be connected to Angie's death. But then there's another presence peeking around the corners, so who knows?

Expected the cop... But there were literally dozens of characters much more worthy of being taken out than the sister... This will end the same was as Season One, so I'm gonna leave it here for me.

Show had a lot of potential, but it ****ed it all away IMHO. Shame.

Very solid premiere. It was shocking seeing two of the main characters die like that. I'm glad they aren't pulling punches. And an awesome cameo by Mr. King. :D

BTW, I had forgotten just how f***ing hot Rachelle Lefevre is. They had better never kill her character off!

Also, I still like Mike Vogel for the Flash in the eventual JL movie. Even though they'll probably go with a bigger name.
