Did I just f***ing read that the Iron Giant is in this??

Racing through NYC in the Delorean alongside the cycle from Akira. I think I may shed a tear, bro.

It's not bad by any means, but I expected something different, I guess.
While I love that they seem to be getting in all the references that made the book feel so nostalgic, they are also throwing away the opportunity to not sell this as "just another post-apocalyptic scenario".

edit: scratch that, i watched it 2 more times and it's beautiful.
i'll just attribute the "spectacle effect" to them trying to build hype around SDCC.

I feel like Wreck It Ralph this movie is gonna be basically trying to find all the pop culture references as opposed to just sitting my ass down watching it.

Wow, this is awesome. Great teaser trailer. Hyped for more material. :D :D

Also, Sheridan looked a bit like Ansel Elgort there. Maybe it's just me.

i think i noticed mad max's car

edit: on it isnt

Did I see Freddy Kreuger and Duke Nukem? The **** is this movie man?

Looks like a live action version of the Lego movie which is something that doesn't really interest me.

That was Harley and Deathstroke/Deadpool. Where was Freddy?

EVeryone is a nostalgia ****e at the end of the day. I just admit it. :o

I personally don't think the trailer did as good a job at selling the hook of the book. This one seems more about visuals and such. The visuals themselves looking like cgi and not something mindblowing. For fans however, the ones in hall H, it probably is going over really well.

very curious how they will play the second trailer.

as a fan, i'm just trying to piece together which scene is which and loving it. Seeing a giant forcefield behind the iron giant, gonna be so epic.
Shame wb only owns so many rights. No starwars in this.

The trailer gave me the same feel the book did - that it was more interested in dropping pop culture easter eggs than anything else.

Meh. (sorry)

Even if it isn't a 100% adaptation, I'm in simply to see what else they are able to throw into the Movie. It'll be beautiful crossover madness.
