You furny. LOL![]()
That's not the point. Most naysayers act like they can do better so they bash almost anything that's not to their liking and state their opinion as fact as if the movie would've been of better quality if only they used their ideas. You can critique all you want everyone does it but it's childish to think that these fat cats at Marvel or DC should listen to you because you're a fan. They NEVER listen.Spider-Fan930 said:You see, I hate it when people use that argument. It is stupid. But just because they can't do better doesn't mean they can't critique what someone else did. That is like saying sports analyst can't criticize a coaching move, because they have never coached. I think it is a weak argument.

no, i don't. but i think they should focus on better writing than a "wow" factor. good casting and good acting cannot overcome a bad script or bad writing.JMAfan said:Ummm, its one article. You think they are going to write an entire story around the Fantasticar? LOL ok.

versus what Kirby/Lee gave us in the 60s....which is better....for my money without a shadow of a doubt....Galactus and the Surfer of the 60s versus our new versions...

Well I think that pretty much confirms they won't use the Ultimate version of the Surfer. It's one thing to use some images from the Ultimate versions for inspiration, but they're not going to change an iconic character just because he looks that way in the ultimate book.
Wow, I hope they don't use those, what the hellis with Galactus? It looks like a space ship? Or part of the old one's head....made into a space ship. How come people keep spelling his name like gah lak tus? O, and that surfer sucked to, only that pic reminds me so much of constantine...lolGoblinScrier said:It was in three different mini-series that culminated in "Ultmate Extinction"

Eye Doc said:I tend to agree with you. I'm glad he likes the comics enough to include little details like the fantasticar, the FF logo, and the shout-outs to Kirby. Since the average moviegoer knows very little about the FF outside of the first film, I tend to view these comic references as Story's way of catering to comic fans.
Everything I've heard so far sounds promising. I have no doubt this will be a better movie. I really think it's going to be MORE SUCCESSFUL than the first film on every level : story (no pun intended), box office, and critical reviews.

Willie Lumpkin said:I agree, and I think the first film was a big hurdle to get past. We're used to seeing the FF as an established, respected team of superheros with high-tech vehicles etc., but they couldn't really be the Fantastic Four in the first film since they were just getting their powers.
I love that they're going to skip forward a few years to give us the real FF rather just continuing where the last film left off.
