Wanna Blanka, don't you wanna.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, as well as Street Fighter V, will add Blanka as a playable character on February 20, Capcom announced.
Here is an overview of Blanka, via Capcom:
? Overview
First appearing in Street Fighter II, Blanka (birth name, Jimmy), survived a plane crash over the Amazon and learned to fend for himself by fighting wild animals and developing survival skills. He eventually found his way to civilization where he met Sakura and Dan, and developed deep friendships with them over time. Blanka’s mother, Samantha, happened to see him on TV and tearfully reunited with him to bring him home.
In Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Blanka is living peacefully with his mother, and has adapted well to being introduced back into society. One day, a suspicious salesman approaches him and offers a way to make Blanka famous by mass producing a doll made in Blanka’s likeness. Will it work? Find out in his character story mode!
? Gameplay
Blanka’s gameplay remains animalistic in nature and sees him scratching, leaping, and pummeling opponents reflecting his time in the jungle. He retains his signature Electric Thunder attack that emits electrical currents around his entire body, which can be continuously performed by repeatedly pressing his punch buttons. Also returning are his multiple rolling attacks, which can be used to approach opponents from different angles or used as a combo ender.
New to Blanka’s arsenal is a command grab called Wild Hunt, where he leaps forward and viciously scratches the opponent before throwing them a set distance away from him. This addition to his move set opens up more opportunities for Blanka to be aggressive.
V-Skill: Coward Crouch
Blanka immediately ducks for cover for a short time before rising back up. His V-Skill can avoid many attacks, including fireballs. After performing Coward Crouch, Blanka can follow up with either Wild Lift (Punch Button) or Raid Jump (Kick Button). Wild Lift sees Blanka move forward while swinging his arms up to launch the opponent in the air and can be followed up by a normal, special move, or even a Critical Art. Using Raid Jump, Blanka swiftly jumps in the air where he can use any mid-air attack to advance.
V-Trigger I: Jungle Dynamo
Blanka’s V-Trigger I gives his special roll attacks more damage and can then be followed up by certain attacks, including his Critical Art. It also powers up his Electric Thunder and changes the animation so Blanka steps forward while unleashing the electric current. On hit, the opponent is launched slightly in the air and can be followed up with a rolling attack.
Finally, Jungle Dynamo unlocks Ground Shave Rolling (HP+HK), which can be used as a combo extender or a way to charge in. This move was a super move in previous games, but is now a special move in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition.
V-Trigger II: Lightning Beast
Lightning Beast unlocks a special move, Rolling Cannon (Direction + HP+HK), which can be performed after using Rolling Attack, Back Step Rolling, and Vertical Rolling. Rolling Cannon can be used in multiple ways, such as extending a combo for more damage or changing positions to surprise the opponent.
Critical Art: Dynamic Rolling
In this Critical Art, Blanka slams his opponent into the ground in a series of electrifying rolls that ends in a move reminiscent of Lightning Cannonball from Street Fighter IV.
? Pricing and Costumes
Blanka is available individually for MSRP $5.99 or 100,000 Fight Money OR as part of the Season 3 Character Pass for MSRP $29.99, which unlocks Sakura, Falke, Cody, G, and Sagat as they become available. If you purchase Blanka as part of the Season 3 Character Pass or with real money, you will also get his Battle Costume with colors 3-10 and default costume colors 3-10. Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition adds Cody on June 26
Published 7 hours ago. 11 comments.

The new mayor of Metro City.

Street-Fighter-V_Cody_05-28-18_001.jpg

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will add Cody as a playable character on June 26, Capcom announced.

Here is an overview of Cody, via Capcom:
? Overview
Cody Travers has served his time behind bars, but has now become the new mayor of Metro City. Although quite busy with his everyday duties, he will arrive in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition on June 26!
Hailing from the beat-em-up series Final Fight – where Zeku’s pupil Guy was also introduced – Cody first appeared in the Street Fighter series in Street Fighter Alpha 3. Unable to adapt to the peace, Cody was repeatedly thrown into prison – or returned voluntarily – after causing havoc in the streets by fighting through any conflict he could find. He casually broke out of prison in Super Street Fighter IV to search for a cure for his boredom, but ultimately returned by his own free will. In Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Mike Haggar exonerates Cody of his crimes, which leads to him being the new mayor of Metro City. Though he constantly complains, Cody secretly finds a glimmer of joy in his new position. However, this doesn’t ultimately stop him from solving problems with his bare hands, knives, or pipes…
Cody’s move set in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition resembles that of his previous appearances, but altered to fit his new spiffy style. When not in V-Trigger, Cody can no longer throw rocks as a projectile or unleash a Criminal Upper like before. Instead, Cody now has Tornado Sweep, which sees him shooting a swirling gust of wind like a traditional fireball. Cody still has Ruffian Kick and Zonk Knuckle as special moves. In addition, he now has a few target combos.
? Gameplay
V-Skill – Double Kick
A move from Final Fight, Cody quickly jumps straight up and performs two kicks in the air to both sides. Double Kick can be used as an effective anti-air and in certain situations, it can also end a combo.
V-Trigger I – Sidearm
In this two-block V-Trigger, Cody pulls out his signature knife. Sidearm increases the range on Cody’s normal punches, which also become safer on block while he’s holding the knife. He can also throw the knife by pressing HP+HK again straight at the opponent or at an upwards angle as an anti-air. After throwing the knife, Cody can then pull out his knife again by pressing HP+HK while V-Trigger I is active.
Cody also gains the Rapid Fire special move, which sees him slashing multiple times and is a great combo ender. Even if V-Trigger I’s duration ends, if Cody is still holding the knife, he’ll continue holding on to it until he either throws it or hits the opponent – even on block.
V-Trigger II – Dirty Coach
In this two-block V-Trigger, Cody is armed with his trusty pipe. With the pipe in hand, the range on Cody’s HPs are drastically increased. He also channels his inner baseball player and gains Gentle Swing by pressing HP+HK again or Gentle Upper Swing, the anti-air version.
If you’re wondering where Cody’s rocks went, they’re implemented into this V-Trigger! During V-Trigger II, Cody can use Bean Ball, which sees him tossing a rock in front of him. Though the rock has a hitbox if tossed on its own, Cody can follow up by hitting it with Gentle Swing with varying results. Depending on the timing, the rock will either hit the opponent from the air at a slight arc, smash straight into the opponent for multiple hits, or roll towards the opponent’s feet. Furthermore, if Cody follows up with Gentle Upper Swing, the rock will go flying off screen and eventually land a set distance depending on the punch button that was used.
Though Cody does lose access to Tornado Sweep with the pipe in hand, he does gain the ability to cancel some of his special moves into Gentle Swing. Much like the knife, Cody will hold on to the pipe after V-Trigger II ends until he hits the opponent with it – even on block.
Critical Art – Criminal Punisher
Cody harnesses his past behind bars and unleashes a devastating tornado reminiscent of Criminal Upper from previous games.
? Pricing and Costumes
Cody will be available individually for MSRP $5.99 or 100,000 Fight Money OR as part of the Season 3 Character Pass for MSRP $29.99, which unlocks Sakura, Blanka, Falke, Cody, G, and Sagat as they become available. If you purchase Cody as part of the Season 3 Character Pass or with real money, you will also get his Battle Costume with colors 3-10 and default costume colors 3-10.
Take a look at Cody’s Story Costume, which pays homage to the previous mayor of Metro City.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition adds Survival Mode improvements, Fighting Chance system on June 25
Published 6 hours ago. 10 comments.
Devil May Cry costumes also incoming.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will add Survival Mode improvements and the new Fighting Chance system on June 25, publisher Capcom announced.
Additionally, Capcom is bringing Devil May Cry-themed costumes to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition in celebration of the recent Devil May Cry 5 announcement.
Get the details below.
Survival Mode Improvements and Fighting Chance Mode

Street-Fighter-V_2018_06-19-18_001.jpg

Cody has heard the calls of the citizens and has decided to start his job as mayor one day early on June 25! Also coming with Metro City’s New Mayor are improvements to Survival Mode and introducing the Fighting Chance mode, including new obtainable skins! Learn more about these features below and how they work.

Current Survival Mode
As you likely know, Survival Mode is a single-player mode where you’re challenged to fight a consecutive number of CPU opponents until you either beat them all or are defeated – if you fail, you must start from the very beginning. There are four separate difficulty settings with different rewards:

    • Easy
      • 10 consecutive opponents
      • Unlocks Color 3 for Default, Story, and Extra Battle Costumes
      • EXP awarded for the first time completed with each character
    • Normal
      • 30 consecutive opponents
      • Unlocks Colors 4, 5, and 6 for Default, Story, and Extra Battle Costumes
      • EXP awarded for the first time completed with each character
    • Hard
      • 50 consecutive opponents
      • Unlocks Colors 7, 8, 9, and 10 for Default, Story, and Extra Battle Costumes
      • EXP awarded for the first time completed with each character
    • Extreme
      • 100 consecutive opponents
      • Unlocks a title
      • EXP awarded for the first time completed with each character
As you progress in each attempt, you’ll rack up score depending on how quickly you defeat the opponent. In between rounds, you have the option of spending some of your score to purchase a Battle Supplement, which will help you against the next opponent in various ways.
But this much you may already know, so what are these improvements we speak of? There are quite a few, so let’s start with the addition of Battle Goods!

Battle Goods

Street-Fighter-V_2018_06-19-18_002.jpg

Similar to Battle Supplements, Battle Goods can be used to give you advantages or improve your chances of winning the next round. Unlike Battle Supplements, Battle Goods are consumables, meaning they will disappear once you use them. You can also use up to five of them between rounds whereas you can only use one Battle Supplement.

Street-Fighter-V_2018_06-19-18_003.jpg
Once this update goes live, you’ll automatically receive some Battle Goods in your inventory to get you started. You can obtain more Battle Goods by completing Survival Mode – the higher the difficulty, the more rewards – or by participating in the new Fighting Chance mode, which will be discussed below.
Care to Continue or Save Your Progress?
Currently, once you are defeated in Survival Mode, you must start from the very beginning. With this update, you can now spend Fight Money to continue after a loss. If you are defeated, you can spend 1,000 Fight Money to continue without losing progress. When continuing, you will start with a full health bar, EX Gauge, and V-Gauge to make the match fair.
100 consecutive matches can take a while! That’s why we’re adding the ability to save your progress so you can resume at a later date. After clearing a stage, you’ll have the option to open the Save Menu at the Battle Supplements screen. Upon doing so, you’ll be prompted with the ability to Save and Quit. Once you decide you’re ready to continue, you can head to Survival Mode again where a prompt will ask if you’d like to resume play.

Other Improvements
When playing Survival Mode, you can now select Standard or Random, which will affect the CPU opponents. In Standard, only the initial 16 characters will appear in a predetermined order. In Random, all currently-released characters, including those from Season 1-3, will appear in random order – except for the “boss” character that appears every 10 stages.
Finally, any unused V-Gauge will also be carried over into the next stage giving you more options as you take on the increased CPU difficulty..

Introducing Fighting Chance

Street-Fighter-V_2018_06-19-18_004.jpg

Battle Goods are potent items that can greatly increase your chance of completing Survival Mode, especially with the increased difficulty.

This brings us to Fighting Chance, a new system where Menat will open up shop to tell your fortune! By spending 500 Fight Money, you can obtain a Fantasy Fortune Reading, which Menat can help you decipher.

These readings contain multiple items, including some exclusive to Fighting Chance.

    • Battle Goods for Survival Mode
    • New colors only obtainable in Fantasy Fortune Readings
    • Rare costumes only available via Fantasy Fortune Readings
    • Cammy’s Cannon Spike costume below is one of these rare costumes
    • We’ll introduce more rare costumes as time goes on!
    • Classic pieces of Street Fighter art from across the series

Street-Fighter-V_2018_06-19-18_005.jpg

Upon logging in once the update is live, you’ll receive one free Fantasy Fortune Reading that will walk you through this process!
Devil May Cry Costumes

After the announcement of Devil May Cry 5 at E3 2018, it’s time to bring the party to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition with three different Devil May Cry costumes for Ken, Ed, and Laura!

Dante Costume (Ken)

Street-Fighter-V_2018_06-19-18_006.jpg

Dante is the main protagonist of the Devil May Cry series, who serves as a private investigator and Devil Hunter at his very own shop.

Throughout the series, he meets mysterious allies while hacking and slashing through formidable foes – all while being stylish, of course. This particular costume is inspired by Dante’s outfit in Devil May Cry 4, which was released in 2008, and includes his trademark sword Rebellion on Ken’s back.

Using the alternate code will equip Ken with Gilgamesh, a set of armor that includes gauntlets, greaves, a mask, and back armor. In Devil May Cry 4, Gilgamesh focused on slow, but potent attacks.

Nero Costume (Ed)

Street-Fighter-V_2018_06-19-18_007.jpg

Nero first appeared as the main protagonist in Devil May Cry 4. He is a Holy Knight in the Order of the Sword, which serves to fight demons and protect the world. Unlike Dante’s carefree attitude, Nero is distant and cynical. Nero acquires the Yamato, a blade that belonged to Dante’s brother Vergil, which then manifests itself as a spectral demon floating behind Nero. This is reflected in Ed’s costume!

Ed takes off Nero’s jacket when using the alternate code to reveal his whole Devil Bringer arm, which can pull in enemies to himself and vice versa – perfectly matched for Ed’s V-Skill!

Both the Dante and Nero costumes will be available for purchase for MSRP $3.99 each on PlayStation 4 and Steam the same day Cody arrives on June 25. This brings us to the Gloria costume, which can be obtained in Extra Battle Mode.

Gloria Costume (Laura)

Street-Fighter-V_2018_06-19-18_008.jpg

Appearing in Devil May Cry 4, Gloria is an executive in the Order of the Sword. Her true identity is Trish, Dante’s work partner, from previous games in the series who possesses supernatural abilities of her own. Trish / Gloria is able to use the element of electricity in various ways to aid in combat or even teleport. As an electricity user herself, Laura is the perfect character to wear the Gloria costume. Using the alternate code will replace Gloria’s hair with Laura’s hair.

How Does Extra Battle Mode Work?

Every month, there will be at least one unique costume like a Crossover Costume up for grabs, which can only be obtained by playing Extra Battle Mode with Fight Money. Here’s the flow of how to go about getting these costumes:

    • Each costume requires you to complete four challenges that take place over the span of a month – one challenge per week.
    • Each time you attempt one of these challenges, you will need to spend 2,500 Fight Money. So if you successfully complete each of the weekly challenges in one go, you can get that Extra Battle Costume for 10,000 FM!
    • Once you complete all four challenges, the costume for that month is yours!
    • These challenges are time exclusive, so make sure to log in each week to complete them, especially if you have your eyes on that month’s unique costume.
GloriaNameDate (starts 9:00 p.m. PT and ends 8:00 p.m. PT)CostRewardChallenge 1July 5 to 122,500 FMBootsChallenge 2July 13 to 192,500 FMGlovesChallenge 3July 20 to 262,500 FMTorsoChallenge 4July 27 to August 22,500 FMHead

Air Man Costume (Rashid)

Street-Fighter-V_2018_06-19-18_009.jpg

Anxious for the next Crossover Costume after Gloria? With Mega Man 11 sliding on to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 2, we wanted to pay homage to the series by turning our very own master of wind into Air Man, a Robot Master who made his debut in Mega Man 2. If you can’t wait to defeat Air Man, pick up Mega Man Legacy Collection, out now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC!

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition adds new fighter G, returning fighter Sagat today
Published 4 hours ago. 10 comments.

Final two fighters of Season 3 roster.
SFV-G-Sagat_08-06-18.jpg
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will add new fighter G and returning fighter Sagat, the final two characters from its Season 3 roster, later today, August 6.
G and Sagat will be available individually for $5.99 or 100,000 Fight Money, or as part of the Season 3 Character Pass for $29.99, which also unlocks Sakura, Blanka, Falke, and Cody. If you purchase G or Sagat as part of the Season 3 Character Pass or with real money, you will also get their Battle Costumes with colors 3 to 10 and default costume colors 3 to 10.
Here is an overview of each character, via the Capcom:

? G
Street-Fighter-V_2018_08-06-18_001.jpg
A man of mystery has appeared calling himself the “President of the World.” First revealed in the cinematic opening at Capcom Cup 2017, G is a mysterious new character who wishes to unify the world as its president. He decides to spread his message in ways the modern world can understand: through social media. Initially, he doesn’t receive much attention until Rashid comes across his videos and decides to help amplify G’s message to the people. That being said, there’s much more to G than meets the eye…
Street-Fighter-V_2018_08-06-18_002.jpg
As a new character, G has a unique move set that utilizes his role as the “President of the World” and his mysterious origins. During a fight, his Presidentiality level can be seen next to the V-Gauge in the form of an icon representing the Earth. By using G Charge, G absorbs power from the Earth to increase his Presidentiality level to 3. The higher his Presidentiality level is, the more powerful his special moves are. However, if G is knocked down, the Presidentiality level will go down.

Street-Fighter-V_2018_08-06-18_004.jpg
G’s special moves and their properties during level 3 Presidentialilty are as follows:

    • G Smash Over: A quick lunging punch that sends a citizen of Earth flying
      • Level 3 Presidentiality: Two hits that causes a wall bounce
    • G Smash Under: Quick lunging punch that hits low and causes knockdown
      • Level 3 Presidentiality: Two hits that also cause knockdown
    • G Burst: A downward molten projectile
      • Level 3 Presidentiality: The projectile now splashes upon hitting the ground, which sends magma at an upwards angle
    • G Spin Kick: G twists his body in the air and kicks the opponent at a downward angle
      • Level 3 Presidentiality: Now gains projectile invincibility
    • G Impact: A command grab that launches citizens of Earth and can be followed up by several special moves.
      • Level 3 Presidentiality: A multi-hit command grab that also launches opponents
    • Message to the People: G delivers a speech meant to unite all citizens of Earth. During this speech, G gains EX Gauge, but is left vulnerable to attacks. Presidentiality has no effect on this glorious speech.

Using G Charge by itself leaves G vulnerable to attacks from citizens of Earth. However, G can cancel certain special moves into G Charge to safely increase his Presidentiality.
V-Skill – G Barrier
Street-Fighter-V_2018_08-06-18_006.jpg
G emits a force field from the energy of Earth around him that can hit nearby citizens of Earth, which sends them launching in the air and can then be followed up by certain attacks. G Barrier can also absorb projectiles. In addition, G Barrier can be used in the air!
V-Trigger I – Maximum President
In this three-block V-Trigger, G’s skin becomes gold. During the duration of Maximum President, all of G’s special moves are strengthened to their level 3 Presidentiality. G can also cancel his special moves into each other. Finally, G can now launch G Barrier as a projectile, even in the air!
V-Trigger II – Dangerous President
In this two-block V-Trigger, G’s arms become molten with anger. By pressing HP+HK again, G will use G Explosion, a special move that can be canceled into from a special move that sends citizens of Earth flying into the heavens. G can also use G Rage, a command grab that contains one hit of armor and deals a decent amount of damage.
Critical Art – Pangaea Burst
G lets the citizens of Earth feel the full force of Gaia and unleashes a destructive set of magma pillars.
Take a look at G’s Story Costume, which may resemble another man of mystery.

Sometimes, Presidents need to go hunting, which is why G has chosen this outfit as his Battle Costume.
? Sagat
Street-Fighter-V_2018_08-06-18_009.jpg
The king has returned to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition! Bow down before him or prove you are a worthy opponent. First appearing in the original Street Fighter as the final boss, Sagat has become one of the most recognizable characters in the entire series. As the emperor of Muay Thai, Sagat’s main goal in life was to be the strongest fighter in the world, which he believed he was until a certain martial artist named Ryu came along and defeated him. M. Bison witnessed Sagat’s power and offered him the services of Shadaloo in order to search for Ryu. Sagat accepted and became one of the feared “Four Heavenly Kings,” but when he realized M. Bison was attempting to corrupt Ryu, Sagat left as he wanted Ryu’s mind to be clear for their rematch. Since then, he has made it his life goal to defeat Ryu, but only if his rival doesn’t hold back. In Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Sagat has become a hermit in a secluded village and must overcome his inner demons.
Street-Fighter-V_2018_08-06-18_010.jpg

Sagat’s iconic move set remains true to his past appearances in the Street Fighter series. Tiger Shot is a projectile that changes speeds depending on which punch button you press and cannot hit crouching opponents. Grand Tiger Shot (Low Tiger Shot in previous titles) can hit crouching opponents, but deals less damage and is less safe. Tiger Uppercut is a dragon punch-style attack that can be used as an anti-air or a reversal. Tiger Knee Crush (Tiger Knee in previous titles) is a quick lunge that can close the distance between Sagat and his opponent.
Street-Fighter-V_2018_08-06-18_012.jpg

Street-Fighter-V_2018_08-06-18_013.jpg
V-Skill – Angry Charge
Much like its previous iterations, Angry Charge sees Sagat clutching his scar to power up both the damage and stun for the next use of his Tiger Uppercut.
V-Trigger I – Tiger Charge
In this three-block V-Trigger, Sagat unlocks the ability to use Tiger Cannon by pressing HP+HK. Tiger Cannon is a large and quick projectile that deals decent damage. All of Sagat’s normal moves can be cancelled into it, which creates some devastating combos that take advantage of his long reach.
V-Trigger II – Tiger Assault
In this two-block V-Trigger, Sagat unlocked Tiger Spike by pressing HP+HK and Tiger Rush with Forward plus HP+HK. Tiger Spike is a long-reaching sharp kick that has armor on startup and can be cancelled into by most of Sagat’s normal moves. In addition, if HP+HK is held down, Tiger Spike breaks the opponents guard.
Tiger Rush is an altered version of Tiger Knee Crush that sees Sagat lunge forward with his knee. It can be cancelled into by most of Sagat’s normal moves and is useful for combos.
Critical Art – Tiger Rampage
Sagat shows exactly what it means to be the emperor of Muay Thai by delivering a series of kicks and punches followed by a charged up Tiger Uppercut.
Take a look at Sagat’s Story Costume, which reflects his time as a hermit deep in the mountains.

Sagat’s Battle Costume is inspired by traditional Thai clothing.
This nostalgic costume needs no explanation for the king!
? New Stage – King’s Court
A reimagining of Sagat’s classic stage from Street Fighter II, this beautiful location featuring the iconic reclining statue will be available on August 6!
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is available now for PlayStation 4 and PC.

Do people actually buy those costumes and pay for that price? Like holy geez. I can buy a complete game (a collection of games) that came out 2-5 years ago for the price of these additional costumes. Also, I'd rather pick up an entirely new Darkstalkers game, than to play Street Fighter characters dressed up in a Darkstalkers outfit.

I would actually prefer this over the rumors of them adding X-men to MvCI which failed and likely they should move on from

I'm quite surprised by the lack of dlcs to Infinity. I haven't bought it yet hoping there would be more like an extended edition. But nope its been a year, the price already went down and I kinda lost interest in it. I'd pick it up once I'm done with other videogames that I haven't finished yet.

Yes. Thats why they keep doing them. They saw how people went for it back with SFIV. Just play a game online and you'll run into people with the costumes

I'd imagine at some point there'll be a Talbain costume for Blanka, a Sasquatch costume for Abigail and a Hsien-Ko costume for F.A.N.G. Hell there even may more Mega Man costumes like Magma Dragoon for Akuma, Slash Beast for Guile and Avalanche Yeti for Zangief.

Seeing as how badly Darkstalkers Resurrection sold, these costumes may be the closest we'll get to even getting a new Darkstalkers game.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will add dojos via a free update on September 25, Capcom announced.

Get the details below.

Receive a free stage, build a community, and channel your inner interior designer when the doors to your own personal dojo open on September 25!

In need of a community to join? Want to only play against casuals? Dojos are a new browser feature that will bring a vast amount of possibilities to improve your creativity and ability to meet like-minded individuals. Whether you’re looking for players who main the same character, players in the same country, or even players who want to talk about how much Chun-Li likes candy, you can create or find any dojo to your liking. Let’s start with the most exciting part of dojos: the free stage!

Every player who syncs their account on the official Shadaloo C.R.I. website and joins a dojo will receive the Dojo stage for free! This meditative stage reflects the look of a traditional dojo with an open area, wooden accents, and rays of light shining through. Although seemingly simple, the Dojo stage is unique in that it can be customized to fit your personal aesthetic.

If you’re unfamiliar with Shadaloo C.R.I., it’s an official source of information updated by the development team! You can discover lore about all your favorite characters in the Street Fighter universe, watch developer matches, get insight on character usage, see the current challenges for Extra Battle Mode, and much more!

Customize Your Dojo Stage

Once you have synced your account on Shadaloo C.R.I. and have joined a dojo, you’ll have access to your dojo menu where you can customize your personal stage. Once in the “Customize Dojo” menu, you’ll see the current representation of your dojo at the top and the available objects you can use to decorate beneath it. There are a large variety of objects that can be obtained such as vehicles, instruments, sports items, plants, statues, and much more! Show everyone a glimpse into your interests, decorate based on feng shui, or create your own tropical retreat. Your stage, your way!

Upon seeing an object you want to place in your Dojo stage, simply click on it and place it in one of the available spaces. Some objects take up more room than others – a cable car is much larger than a vase – so careful planning is a must. You can also rearrange your objects without having to remove them first by going into “My Settings.” If you decide you want to completely wipe your Dojo stage and start fresh, there is an option to “Remove All” on the upper left of the screen – quickly turn that tropical retreat into a sports club!

You can obtain Dojo stage items in numerous ways, but most of them have specific unlock requirements, such as ranking high in the Dojo Rankings (explained below) or getting them through a separate set of readings in Fighting Chance. It’s important to note that Dojo Fighting Chance readings are completely separate from the readings that offer costumes, colors, and art work, but can still be opened up in Menat’s shop.

All that’s left to do is to show off your Dojo stage to your friends and family at home, or by playing online. We can’t wait to see how creative the community is!

Creating and Managing a Dojo

Dojos act as community hubs where the Grand Master is the leader. The person who creates the dojo will immediately be assigned as the Grand Master, but can then hand the title over to another member if they do not wish to be the leader. Upon creation, the Grand Master can name the dojo, set the dojo emblem, write an introductory blurb about the dojo, set maximum number of members, who can approve a member application, and even create a flyer of sorts to attract members.

If you’re looking for a dojo to join, you can search for them under a player’s Fighter ID, the dojo ID, or other conditions. You can only apply for one dojo at a time, but have the ability to cancel your application if need be. However, you’ll need to wait five minutes after cancelling an application to apply for another.

After joining a dojo, you can then view a list of dojo members, the dojo rankings, favorite characters, and profiles of other members. You can even add a comment to your dojo profile to let others know who you are, your personal goals, or random facts about yourself. It’s a great way to get to know your fellow members!

Your dojo can also be linked to your Twitter account, making communication that much easier!

Dojo Rankings

Street-Fighter-V-Arcade-Edition_2018_09-19-18_006.jpg

In the main dojo menu, you can visit “Member Ranking” to see how all members stand in the dojo. Every member will automatically have points applied to them upon playing Arcade, Survival, Extra Battle, Ranked Match, Casual Match, and Battle Lounge – the more you play, the more points you’ll get. Although you will be able to see which member contributes the most, in the end, every point obtained will factor into the larger dojo rankings where all dojos are displayed on a leaderboard. If your dojo ends each month as one of the top ranks, everyone in that dojo will receive a special decorative object to show off, so work together because every point counts! Dojo rankings can be viewed at any time and go as far as the 10,000th dojo and will begin in October 2018.

Yesterday, Capcom Unity revealed that Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition was getting into the Christmas spirit by adding some new Holiday-themed costumes for Blanka, Cody, Falke, and Sakura.

Adding costumes to Street Fighter V for festivities like Halloween and Christmas has become somewhat of a tradition for Capcom, which is a great way to engage with their community. In fact, Capcom has always liked adding costumes to some of their game series such as Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, and Street Fighter; to name but a few.

Crossing over some of these franchises has also been something of a staple for Capcom, and this time they are adding some neat-looking Resident Evil-themed costumes to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. The costumes in question are Jill Valentine for Cammy, Albert Wesker for Urien, and Ada Wong for Kolin. All of these Resident Evil-themed costumes will be available on the 27th of Novemberwhich is the same day the Christmas costumes will become available—and just in time to begin bulding buzz for the highly anticipated Resident Evil 2 remake.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition Season 4 announced, new character Kage now available
Published 1 day ago. 40 comments.
A new season begins.

Street-Fighter-V-Kage_12-16-18.jpg

Capcom has announced Season 4 of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, with new character Kage beginning the season today via a newly released update. Kage can be purchased for $5.99 / €5.99 / £4.99 or 100,000 Fight Money. Today’s update also includes balance changes.

Here is an overview of Kage, via Capcom Unity:

Kage, the Embodiment of the Satsui, rises as the newest character and the beginning of the next season in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition!

The Satsui no Hado is a dark force tied to the more sinister aspects of the human soul, including the hunger to survive, destroy, and conquer. Those who learn to control it become nearly unstoppable, but at the cost of their humanity. Akuma is one of these beings. In the past, Ryu was constantly struggling with keeping the Satsui no Hado at bay. If he was hypothetically unable to control it, Evil Ryu would manifest and bring a dark obsession to the otherwise peaceful Ryu. However, after the events of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Ryu was able to overcome the Satsui no Hado’s temptation to ensure Evil Ryu would never see the light.

However, the Satsui no Hado living within Ryu became sentient and would rise as the entity known as Kage, meaning “shadow” in Japanese. Kage lives to prove Ryu is nothing without him and seeks to challenge Akuma and Sagat, two of Ryu’s most notorious rivals. Will Ryu succumb to Kage’s schemes?

Kage’s move set may resemble Evil Ryu’s, but the embodiment of the Satsui no Hado has his own twist on the abilities you may be expecting.

  • Hadoken – Kage’s Hadoken sees him emitting energy from his palm, but doesn’t create a traditional fireball, at least in the grounded version. The airborne version of Hadoken emits a fireball horizontally in the air.
  • Shakunetsu Hadoken – Similar to Akuma’s “red fireball,” Kage gathers energy in both fists and sends the projectile full screen.
  • Shoryuken – Kage wouldn’t come from Ryu if he didn’t have this iconic move!
  • Kurekijin – Kage jumps off the ground and rotates only once to deliver a single kick. Kurekijin can also be used in the air.
  • Ryusokyaku – Similar to Evil Ryu’s “Axe Kick” where he lifts his leg in an arcing motion and slams it down on the ground.
  • V-Skill: Senha Kassatsu – Kage gathers energy into his fist and lunges forward to punch the opponent. Senha Kassatsu has armor and can be charged for a more devastating blow.
  • V-Trigger I: Taigyaku Mudo – In this two-bar V-Trigger, Kage unlocks Ashura Senku, a teleport move that is performed by pressing HP+HK. Ashura Senku can be used on the ground and in the air as an air dash, which opens up multiple mix-up options and flashy combos. Taigyaku Mudo also improves Kage’s V-Skill so that he can now combo into it while the fully charged version will crumple the opponent.
  • V-Trigger II: Rikudo Osatsu – In this three-bar V-Trigger, Kage unlocks Misogi, a move that sends him into the skies before crashing down on the opponent by pressing HP+HK. Misogi can be cancelled into by a number of normal and specials, including blocked sweeps, which makes it a pressure monster.
Critical Arts

  • Metsu Shoryuken – Ryu’s iconic super from previous games lets everyone know that Kage is indeed a part of Ryu. Kage does a devastating upper cut that ends in a flash full of red.
  • Shun Goku Satsu (V-Trigger II only) – Kage wouldn’t be the Satsui no Hado without having the Shun Goku Satsu! While only available in V-Trigger II, Kage’s version of the Raging Demon can be used to end particular combos with his signature red gracing the screen afterwards.
Kage’s Story Costume resembles a wilder version of Evil Ryu complete with the burned hole in his chest. Kage’s hair is grown out, his gi is on his torso instead of draped around his waist, and a large rope holds it all together.

On the other end of the spectrum, Kage’s Battle Costume is bright, ornate, and regal. Perhaps this is what Kage envisions himself as at the height of his power?

Kage is available for MSRP $5.99 / €5.99 / £4.99 or 100,000 Fight Money on December 16 along with battle balance changes and new moves for certain characters!

Kage is only the beginning of the next season of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition! We’re doing things differently this year, so we’re eager to share the details with you soon!
