Comics Strongest X-Men?

i can see him joining the X-men eventually...He's going to have to be powerd down tough.

So he's the strongest ex-X-Men. (and as it seems he won't be depowered, he'll just go after the Sh'air in Uncanny)

So who would be the strongest currently alive X-Men? ​

A toss up between Storm & Rachel

Polaris, Rogue, Emma, and Psylocke would follow imo.

If it's the power in general, the Rachel takes it - since she can use the Phoenix force.

Agreed.

It amuses me to watch how some are so bent on downplaying/underestimating the power of Storm. I mean seriously--the overzealousness of certain Storm fans doesn't negate the fact that the character still holds the planet's ecological forces in her hands. She's like the mutant version of the Roman Earth/Agriculture Goddess Demeter--the one who would cause droughts to punish her servants.

I love how the Xverse puts it:

Ororo must remain in control of the situation, herself and her abilities at all times. Although the mutant ability to control the weather may appear passive at first, Ororo's power actually provides a great offense against which many would be hard-pressed to stand. The fury of lightning, the destructive path of a tornado, the deep freeze of a snowstorm -- all are within her range. Man has waged an ongoing battle against the elements of the earth itself throughout history, and with the full force of the planet's weather systems at her command, Ororo can be a dangerous enemy.

I see users trying really hard to talk down on Storm--but seemingly only to put Storm fans in check. Newsflash--it doesn't change the fact that Storm is among the most powerful X-Men in the cannon's history.

I don't recall saying anything about Cable?

But you talk as if controlling the weather is small fries. The "weather", water cycle and atmosphere are the only things that allow humanity to exist. Storm can flip such resources as easily as turning off a light switch. That said, Storm can end life on earth...and it takes a tremendous amount of self-control for her not to let that happen.

No, she's not on the cosmic level of power like Phoenix (who is?). Yet her evolution is so advanced that she can move stars and moons in the vicinity of the earth. For example, she can jack up the planet's gravitational forces, or bring in a new ice age. When it comes to the meterlogical formatting of the planet, she too "can control EVERYTHING".

So it's not like she's just "making it rain" somewhere.

Plus Colossus's skin isn't mere steel. And just for kicks....

They are fooling around here, I dunno if this is Storm's strongest, but you can see Colossus clearly takes it, no effect on him.

And here, Storm uses Colossus, as a ligthning rod, no effect on him either. Colossus owns all.

User 2: "No she isn't. She sucks. All she can do is just change the weather. ___________ is much better than her because ___________ > Storm."

User 4: "Storm can do more than that. She can do ___________ and ____________ and that's why I think she's the most ___________ X-Man."



And it goes on and on.

And the cosmic storm. And water/ocean currents. And some sort of stellar energy(apparently, I really don't know how to call the energy of the galactic core ).

Cable can control EVERYTHING.

I wouldn't say he can control everything, as much as he can manipulate everything. He controls kinetic and psychic energy(he's still got TP, right?), and can manipulate everything else.

But yeah, Cable is stronger then Storm.

BTW - I really don't wanna turn this into a vs argument, but PWN3R, check out Unacnny 147, she hurts him with her lightning in that issue.

Vulcan is not an X-Man, he was a member of a team of Moira's students, and he was a sort of honorary X-Man, but seeing as he is now a villain wanting to kill Xavier he hardly qualifies as X-Man.

Cable... I'm not following Cable/Deadpool, I've heard great things about that book though. Does he still have the technovirus? If he has the techno-virus then he can be beaten. And in a battle with Ororo he'd just stop fighting, he has a crush on her

Hate to break it to you, but becoming Phoenix is a mutation. It's firmly established in New X-Men and ties into Jean being an omega mutant.

Strongest current member of the team is probably Iceman.
