Study: U.S. Wars Have Left Over 1 Million Dead in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan

What are you talking about? Do you know what blowback is? Blowback is ISIS. Blowback is Al Queda. Consequences of American action in the Middle East. The mess in Iraq right now is blowback from the Iraq war. The mess in Syria right now is blowback from the Arab Spring failing.

I wasn't sure what you meant. That's why I asked.

Not at all. I do expect the FBI and Homeland Security to take the terrorists out. Something that doesn't seem to be happening in Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen, etc...

I hate to be an "armchair general" but the smart approach militarily would seem to be joint operations, if necessary, with U.S. Special Forces and Pakistani security forces.

I understand that they allow themselves to be ruled by a theocracy and because of that they will continue to live in the dark ages. They have no system that keeps them safe because they allow their government to be ruled by men who use religion as a guise to keep them down and under control.

You do know that Pakistan has had a woman head of state and we have not, right?

Few notice it? Every bombing that happens in a market in Pakistan or Syria is reported. It's over there and not here so it doesn't have the same impact. The United States is on the brink of bankruptcy trying to stop terrorism all around the world. Theocracies around the world need to be burned to the ground yet I don't see many in the Middle East willing to do what's necessary.

Those same theocracies are U.S. client states: Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan, Kuwait, Yemen, Egypt, Morocco, and so on. This is one of the leading causes for the "blowback". That and unconditional U.S. support for Israel.

You didn't ask, you assumed something completely different and then went on to post a bunch of stuff that was unnecessary.

Wait, you want the US to send in troops to die because the countries won't police their own? That's why the US is using drones. Why should Americans die over this? If they want the drone strikes to stop, they need to rise up and police their own.

She inherited her position initially, was then put in exile only to be assassinated upon her return. Good job!

Well, if those states would get with the 21st century and stop acting like it's the year 800, maybe they'd stop killing each other and stop crying that the evil US is interfering with their policies.

No. The governments themselves are propped up by Washington. They're not complaining.

1 million dead?

But they killed 3,000 of us on 9-11.

The War on Terrorism is the perfect replacement for the Cold War for the Pentagon.

There's less of a danger of a nuclear war and it could go on for many decades.

Good thing they got rid of a couple important and stable dictatorships in the region (Gaddafi, Saddam).
