When I was kid, I had a particularly scraggy male cat called 'McCoy' (as in Hank). I also had a short lived one-eyed gerbil called 'Scot' (for obvious reasons, though my family called it 'Scotty' to go with the 'McCoy'). I still have a rabbit that I persuaded the wife to call 'Worthington' (Warren Worthington, get it? It's dreadful I know. Best X-men rabbit name I could come up with at the time. Sorry) and another (white) one we got at a later date called 'Emma'. It's always been pets with me.
My mate has a Nissan Skyline that the whole family calles 'The Blackbird' or 'The Stratojet', the same guy had a boat called 'Starjammer'. His thing is clearly vehicles.
You get so used to calling stuff by a name that you forget where it got it. Does anyone else have anything named after something from the X-men? Pets particularly (with photos would be cool)
