Comics World War Hulk: X-Men

I would loved to have seen some creative writing involving Iceman's part in that battle, but oh well.
I was thinking though, you know what I'd really love to see is a story featuring a team-up with Marvel's premiere powerhouses Hulk, Thing, Thor, & Colossus!

In all honesty and I am probably in the minority here but I never considered Colossus a powerhouse.

Apocalypse is about much more than brute strength, Sinister is powerful, but his physical strength is not in the same league as Colossus, who is Molly?
This a team of good guys....
who should they battle?

She's a mutant with super strength in the book Runaways:

"Without a doubt he is the strongest mutant alive."
Henry McCoy's assessment of Colossus power from The Beast Files Marvel Visions #14

But are there any mutants stronger than Pete? He usually gets overpowered by non-mutants. Hulk, Juggernaut, aliens, ect.

Peter is the #1 physical powerhouse in the mutant community. He his a being of "pure physical power"......
and now he's made of Rage!

He hasn't been made of RAGE since whatever single-digit issue of Astonishing that was - you know, in essence, the last time he actually did something. :D

I love Colossus.

It's building up again.:cwink:
As far as doing something...
all his "action" has been taking place off panel.

Pete's rage will come out eventually. His "gentle giant"-ness is what I admire about him

Is it just me or does Marvel portray Colossus as weaker then he used to be? I always remember him being much stronger.

It's not that he's being portrayed as "weaker"; they just haven't had him do anything of relevance in a while.

The only feat of strength he's done lately is pound Kitty so hard she phased as a defense mechanism.

Granted, no man should ever be ashamed of hittin' that so hard she falls through the floor.

Hahahaha...:woot:

Well once Whedon leaves Astonishing, maybe he can be relevant in his main book again.

Actually, Colossus's appearance in Adjectiveless is probably the most he's done in awhile. And arguably cooler than some of the stuff Whedon's done with him in those single-digit issues.

The fastball special is way cool, yes. But so is [BLACKOUT]sucker-punching Exodus[/BLACKOUT].

if only she would have unphased while IN the floor....sigh....

Refer to Cyke/Xorneto's battle in PlanetX for a similar scene. I really don't have to actually say out loud where I'm going with this, right?

Crash landing on Breakworld kind of reminded me of his power dive into the earth way back in Uncanny #95 (one of my all time favorite issues). Alas it is unfortunate that Colossus' immense physical power is not spotlighted more by writers. It is frustrating as a fan that it is always inferred in narrative dialogue or in characters descriptions.:csad:
One character who seems to have had his physical strength downplayed though is Warpath. I remember that it was once stated that he was capable of over 50 ton range while still in his his teens, but he doesn't seem that way now.
