Summer of 06

2007 should be a pretty good year. You have Spider-Man 3, Transformers, Shreak 3, POTC 3, and FF2 could be pretty good.

If Ghost Rider and TMNT came out as well during the summer it'd be an awesome line-up.

I have enjoyed this Summer, of all the movies I saw in the theater I enjoyed them all, which included:

Over the Hedge
X3
Cars
Superman Returns
A Prarie Home Companion
Pirates of the Carribean
Monster House

No complaints here.

I just hope the fall/winter movies are killer,October looks to be a good month The Fountain,The Prestige,The Black Dahila ect...

Does any one else agree this has been a terrible summer for Blockbuster movies.

Nope, good summer for me.

typical?! mmm... not really... look at Cinemann's list on Page 1. 2003, 2004, and 2005 were huge summers with tons of fantastic blockbusters... well, maybe not fully summers, but at least, years :D

Well, I think the summer blockbusters this year is "typical" in the meaning that they are big visual spectacles with ridiculous budgets and little substance; okay, if you just want to kill off two, two and a half hours but nothing really memorable

Lord of the Rings was not in the summer

Niether was Narnia or King Kong
Yeah they were. Southern Hemisphere.

2006 has been nothing short of mediocre-terrible-forgettable. 2005 can be described as the same. At least 2007 has something to look forward to.

whoa... Batman Begins and Revenge of the Sith were definitely not "mediocre-terrible-forgettable"!

I'm playing the devil's advocate here to just about everyone haha... there's always hope in every summer and there's always something good every summer... this year had some, too... but if you compare it up to "other" summers, and especially what's coming next summer, it just doesn't live up by any means.

Don't forget Sin City! That was memorable! :marv:

We went and saw Lady in the Water last night. It was physically painful.

The last movie we went to see was Superman Returns. It was physically painful.

I have zero interest in pirates. I fell asleep during the first one.

We were talking about the fact that this summer has been the worst summer for movies in our entire lives.

I thought Batman was decent at best. First half of the movie was great. 2nd half of the movie was forgettable. I don't recognize any of the prequel trilogy as part of the Star Wars saga which sums up my feelings on EPIII.

Sin City wasn't really part of the summer crowd. That movie came out in March or April.

what movies DO you like??

I cried at the end of Spider-Man.
I enjoyed War of the Worlds and Sin City.
I,....it's a silly question. I could name 9,000 movies I like.

I remember when we went to the same theater and saw Shaun of the Dead. Masterpiece.
