This seems a much better fit than CBS.

This is probably terrible news for the show creatively, since the CW has a poor track record with how they handle female characters.

They also tend to pander to shipper audiences heavily. CW's Arrow and Flash have really gone downhill.

But this is good news for the longevity of the show. The show could only bring in one million viewers and a fractional demo, and CW would still renew. The bar at CW is low.

The Felicity/Supergirl teamup is now inevitable.

Glad its a full season.
I do not think that was possible at CBS.
As long as the full cast is onboard (which appears to be the case,)
I am okay with it.

Not gonna lie, I kinda like how Supergirl is on its own different network and is for the most part untainted by the CW-isms of The Flash and Arrow but it moving is good news for its survival so I can't complain. Plus, I'm glad that Calista is still on board. I just hope that the storylines and budget don't deteriorate.

It's not my preference. It'll almost certainly reach a smaller audience and I wonder how much of a budget cut it'll get. I also don't know where they'll put it.

well the cw upfronts as well as their shows episode orders will be very intresting.they renewed everything but containment.B&B ends this summer plus they picked up supergirl plus 3 pilots.

Greats news, glad to have a second season confirmed. I have no issues with it being on the CW I just hope the budget wont effect how much we see of J'onn in Martian form.

I can't imagine it going anywhere but Mondays at 8:00. They can use it to prop up one of their female-skewing CBS dramas like Jane the Virgin.

Plus it just makes sense to have Arrowverse shows at 8:00 Monday-Thursday. The crossover potential is huge.

Now I want them to throw iZombie into the fray. Use multiverse shenanigans to link them up and throw iZombie on Fridays. Then we could have a week long DCTV mega crossover. Not likely, but a man can dream.

Isn't this exactly what happened to Wonder Woman?

I'm hoping Martian Manhunt remains.

The last Wonder Woman pilot wasn't picked up.
Super girl just got a second season.

They could be referencing the original WW show. It moved from ABC to CBS after one season.

Well, at least Melissa is sticking around. But considering the current quality of the CW comic shows not named iZombie, I can't be all that excited about this.

Well...guess we'll just have to see how this goes. Wonder how noticeable the reduced budget will be.

Why do you hate iZombie so much? :o

at least it's coming back!!

now, they just need to make her hair a lighter blonde ( even the digital comic based on the show has her with a lighter shade - even young Kara ) and give use more Superman.

I do hope the budget cut doesn't effect the show too much, though. I really liked how they showed Kara flying around, so hopefully that won't be cut too much.

The Supers FLY......period!!

don't want another Smallville deal.

When they cut iZombie back down to 13 episodes, and slash its budget, we know what to thank. :csad:

If they can't keep Cat. They should have some kind of incident where Kara, Wynn, Alex and possibly Hank get pulled to the Flash verse. This way you don't have to worry where Supes is.

The Hollywood Reporter said she is coming back.

I wonder how they are going to handle crossovers considering they established them on different Earths.

This is great. I am absolutely at a loss about why people are afraid of the budget. We are talking about it getting placed on the network that has constant heavy special effects with The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. Somewhere I read someone was concerned about flying - CW constantly gives us Firestarter, Hawk Girl, and the Atom flying. And as per CGI character like Manhunter - that's precisely what Firestarter, Grodd, and King Shark all are.

A yearly cross Earth travel? Much like how Starling City is under threat of destruction every May.

Probably not going to happen but I'd love to see the CW axe both Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow (which are both terrible anyway) in order to maintain the budget that Supergirl had on CBS. :p

do Flash and Green Arrow exist on the same Earth in the CW universe?

Ultimately, the tone and quality of the writing (such as it is) comes from Team Berlanti, not CBS. So a changeover to the CW won’t make things worse; it was already, in effect, a CW-type show.

Why are people hating on Flash? Show is good. Behind on most of season 4 of Arrow. Havent seen Legends. Only seen bits of Supergirl.

I will say Season 1 Flash is great and season 2 is good.
