The Dora Milaje look so good!

If that was the case, more Hollywood movies would follow that template. I think it's because of streamlining production time.

Why set up complex lighting and set ups for interesting shots when you can just shoot it like s sit com.

Hmm, interesting point. You might be on to something. But then again, even though Marvel's releasing 2-3 of these a year now, each of them are still treated like their own movie, in terms of filming and production. It seems like these films still go through the standard 5-6 month principal photography, 6-7 month post production time most Hollywood blockbusters get, no?

The images on the previous thread looked bad, these look gorgeous. Which one will we get?

Different shots will produce different results. This comes with the odd way they finish Marvel movies. Their green screen love and all. Why film at an actual location with sets, when you can just green screen 60% of it?

They need the flexibility to completely change the location of the shot in post...

Well from what I can tell those are not screenshots, they're official pictures. Clips are more accurate because that's the closest to the finished product. Besides, I don't get what's so gorgeous about them aside from the costumes? The cinematography itself is still weak.

The costume design and the production design is great. The cinematography is the same old, same old. Brightly lit medium shots galore.

Which is a minor shame because it's lensed by the cinematographer of Mudbound.

Reminds of another film. Which I wouldn't be surprised to learn is the inspiration because Coogler is a fan of it.

7 minutes to find out if the MCU is a consensus 18/18

Sounds like Killmonger kills it. Phase 3 villains have all been good, when Mikkelson’s Baddie in Strange is the weakest you know your doing good. Especially with the three main bads from last year along with this, I think we can put the ‘MCU has a villain problem’ fallacy to bed. Especially when u look at the villains the DCEU and Fox, and really most major blockbusters, have been delivering the last few years.

Based on the reactions, it's another winner for Marvel. Now we'll see if it's got some actual box office muscle to back-up the reactions and early ticket sales.

So it's official! Disney has literally bought every critic in the world.

By releasing entertaining movies apparently. How dare they!
