Disney: I heard you wanted comic accurate suits so we're going with the blandest ones! :awesome:

Yeah I'm sick of High School Peter too, but Colman Domingo as Osborn is a good move.
Too good of a pick imo. Unless this translates to an MCU live action version of Norman, which would be really cool. But I also severely doubt we're gonna see an MCU version of Norman anytime soon. I think, like RDJ Doom, Dafoe was it for better or worse.

I’m assuming this will be a past holder of the mantle, but it’ll be extremely funny if they make it to the screen before a returning Finn Jones.

Yeah give me Elodie Elektra back and a Daughters of the Dragon spinoff with Missick/Henwick and I’d be a happy camper as far as the street level MCU goes.
Sounds like an awesome combo. Missick & Henwick were great supporting characters and could work well together, better than the leads were together at any rate.

I mean, that’s not true. I just typed Ironheart into Twitter and immediately got several camrips of the trailer. People can not be interested in something without needing to make crap up.
You're replying to a post from 16 hours ago. At the time this was posted it was indeed true. I was searching on Twitter at the time and the only thing posted was the cast coming out on stage. Meanwhile the Cap 4, Daredevil and Fantastic Four trailers were all over the place within minutes after they were shown.

This tweet was complaining about why no one was posting the footage. Then about 30 mins later the footage finally got posted. Here's another person talking about it.

Looks like MAGA has found their next thing to complain about , which is Snow White has gone woke because in their view Gadot is much prettier than Zegler so the Queen shouldn't be jealous of Snow White.

Ah, I see. I thought it was the op trying to dunk with the tired "who asked for this" stuff. My mistake.

The press tour is gonna be a train wreck unless journalists are told beforehand that they aren't allowed to ask about the situation in the Middle East.

I so have no interest in this at all, lol! The bite happe s cause of a Doctor Strange fight? Come on yall. It's essentially a What If episode stretched to a season
I'm fine with that. I can see why they ditched the initial idea of it being set in the MCU before Civil War. The way Marvel handled Spidey's introduction severely limits what you could do with him in a prequel. No iconic costume because Tony Stark makes it for him (a decision I still hate). No Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Electro, Mysterio, Vulture, Lizard or Sandman because he doesn't meet them until the movies. No Harry. Can't do much with MJ because they don't really have any extended interaction until Far From Home. Even Kingpin is supposed to be in prison when Peter first starts out in the films, IIRC. So not only are you missing a bunch of iconic characters and elements, but you're also limited with crossovers with the rest of the MCU because Peter doesn't even meet Iron Man, the Avengers or Doctor Strange until later too.

I mean, I guess in theory you could find an interesting way to tell stories about Peter fighting lower tier villains in a ratty homemade costume, but I get why they ultimately decided against that.

I thought we already knew about Apocalypse, but maybe just that he would appear at some point rather than confirmation of season 2.

Very happy to see Polaris included.

I would be very, very hesitant about Polaris's inclusion. As they seem to be leaning toward a Blood of Apocalypse adaptation. And I say this as that was the story that got me back into comics, that is not a good choice of story to do.

Totally agreed on that. I do hope that since they found a way to give Madeline a bit more agency in the first season, they could do the same for Lorna if they do go that route.

Everything you listed is why I was interested in it but no longer am lol. Basically they had a chance to show MCU origin which they skipped and answer questions that maybe some fans had. Plus the limitation could have given them the opportunity to tell a story spotlighting some of Spideys lesser known street level or mob villains, that probably wouldn't have a chance showing up in the movies. If Vulture is considered the first super villain he faced, then use villains that would be a good stepping stone towards that.

Now it's just another show about the origin of a teenage Spidey but with a small twist this time. But they are still trying to have their cake and eat it too with the MCU connection. The fact that they keep referencing the whole "What if Norman mentored Peter instead of Tony" and using actors like Charlie Cox shows they are still trying to make it pseudo MCU related even though it's very clearly not. With the news about the spider bite being magic related and occuring during a Doctor Strange fight, this is very from just an extended What If episode at this point.
