But what Burton did...

I mean you are grown man right? That first movie turned the character into a Brand-you do remember that don't you? Burton's movies sold a whole lot of those same back 'stories ripe and rich w/ mystery!!'. How did he destoy something that's still availible to anyone who wants to find them? It's nothing to do with the quality or trueness of a couple of movies. This very message board, the one you get to be 'Majic' too and you are that, is a byproduct of the mania that 1989 movie pretty much started, technology just had to catch-up. Now you can do the same.

I personally like Dick Grayson, preferably as Nightwing but enjoying him as Batman at the moment as well :yay: Great character and hero.

I watched "Superman: The Movie" and Superman II The Donner Cut and I decided after that, to actually vote (unlike earlier where I didn't vote due to the tie status in my head between Superman and The X-Men).

But my vote goes to SUPERMAN!

Even though I have my faults with the movie, I'm glad it was made, because it established Batman as a dark character again and led to B:TAS, which leads to the rest of the DCAU. So if Burton didn't go in the direction he did and if it wasn't so successful, the entire DCAU probably never gets made. So I'll take Batman if it gave us Mask of the Phantasm.

Screw all yall. Tim Burton's Batman movies were fun.

yeah of course they were fun, I enjoyed Returns more than the first one

I rank my batman films like this

TDK
BB
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
Batman Returns
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker
Batman: Subzero
Batman
Batman & Robin
Batman Forever

Reverse Begins and Phantasm, then reverse & Robin and Forever. You'd have my ranking.

Hardly fair to the members of the X-Men. You should have done teams if you were going to do that. I picked X-Men, though the X-Man I picked has also been a Defender and an Avenger, as well as being one member of a Duo under their own comic title.

Have you guessed who it is yet? He's intelligent and athletic. Still need help?

He's blue

Of course, by now you may have guessed, it's...

The Beast
:fhm: :atp:

Deadpool isn't exactly a person I would describe as a hero.

More of a Chaotic Neutral.

Well, not all the superheroes are boy scouts, you know; many of them have shades of grey, like Elektra and Punisher for instance. I don't think it's a good reason to omit Deadpool from the poll.

Elektra is an assassin, the Punisher is a dangerous criminal and Deadpool is a lunatic as well as a dangerous criminal assassin. None of them are heroes, and only one is super.

Deadpool is an anti-hero on a good day (ie. when writers remember to write him as an actual person rather than a walking joke with guns). Elektra and Punisher are definitely not heroes. Choosing to spare the occasional life only serves to relieve your own conscience so you can live with yourself, and murdering people who violate your own personal moral code doesn't put you anywhere near the idea of being a hero.

While The Punisher may be dangerous he is not a criminal. He is more of an anti-hero/vigilante which is why he is still technically under the hero umbrella. He takes out people who break the law using any means he can while still saving innocent lives. The Punisher is very much a hero, but with shades of grey.

To quote Welcome Back, Frank:

"Why do you kill them? Bad people, I mean?"

"I hate them."

"Oh. I thought it might be because you wanted to make the world safe for good people."
Frank appears to be disgusted by that remark. That's not very a very heroic quality. He kills criminals because he hates them, simple as that. His top priority is not to save the innocents, but punish the guilty.

You contradicted yourself.

If he's a vigilante, he is by definition a criminal.

Spider-Man, IMO. He is so relateable with the fact that he's got everyday problems, which I can really relate to. He has money problems, he has to take care of his aunt, but also save NYC. He's got to be on time for school, but he also stop criminals. He gets the s*** end of the stick. He's just an amazing character overall.

Frank is not a hero at all, he's a psychotic murderer. It's only by grace of the writers that he never kills any innocents accidently. He may only kill the bad guys, but he's no hero.

And Batman is a criminal. :awesome:

But Batman, for all his faults, is still a hero.
