I went to see a quiet place two on Friday. It was so cool being back in the movie theater and seeing a movie I actually wanted to see. Was Carter Burke genuine in wanting Ripley along to check up on the colony for her experience, or was he planning on offing her to cover his tracks from the get go? What's your take?

I think he was always going to screw her over, but the extent of that changed as events played out. At the very least I think he planned on using her as a scapegoat if things didn’t go his way, before the situation got out of hand and he decided to make her a Xenomorph mule.
