Hi
new to these boards, so if these there's an old thread where this could be answered, please let me know. I have Birthright, Man of Steel Vol 1, Superman For All Seasons and the Death of Superman. What should I read next ?:supes:

Since you've read "Death of Superman," I'd go ahead and read "World Without a Superman," and "The Return of Superman" next, to complete the story.

I personally really enjoyed "Up, Up, and Away" which picks up the Superman mythology and new status quo following the most recent DC Crisis.

There's also a few more volumes of "Man of Steel." (Four maybe?...I'm not totally sure...)

And as always, when someone asks for a recommendation, I give you "It's a Bird!" which is beyond awesome, but not really a Superman story per se. It's tells a Vertigo story involving "real" people and over the course of the tale, it explores all the different aspects of the Superman mythos. It's really, really heavy, but excellent.

Heavy is good. I like something with a bit of meat. World and return next, I guess. Thanks

hey can you show us a cover of "it's a bird" ?
I've heard of it but it sounds intersting.

Itsthebatman, personally I would advice you to read Superman : for all seasons". I think it is a wonderful read full of sensivity ... well for those who are sensitiv enough to apprehend it.
Man of steel by Byrne is pretty good in my opinion.

Godfall is good

Thanks for the advice. Read it already. Love Loeb, and especially Sale. Great artist. And I'm a sensitive wee flower.:woot:

One of these days, I'm going to learn how to post pictures and stuff. But here's a link to the book...

Hey, I have a little question, for the big fans :
what are exactly the issues dealing with Ruin ? and which TPB is it ?
From the beginning to the end.
I found the TPB "Ruin revealed" but it seems to me, it just deals with the end of the story. Could someone help, please ?
:)

I think "That Healing Touch" has a lot of Ruin in it. I don't know for sure because I have the single issues and don't know exactly what's collected in the TPB and what isn't, but all I do know is that it deals with Ruin's creation of the Parasite Twins.

Kingdom Come is one I'd recommend.

Hey, i've just got into Superman comics myself and have so far read, The Greatest Tale's Ever Told Vol. 2, Our Worlds At War, and Sacrifice, all were good IMO, i'm also halfway through Kingdom Come, which is so far FANTASTIC.

What are the trades currently available that are post OYL, Superman and Action Comics in particular. Thanks.

Red Son
Secret Identity
Birthright
Up, Up and Away!
Camelot Falls

Superman Peace On Earth, Superman: Unconventional Warfare, Godfall (really good books) and Superman The Journey which I really like as well.
Then you have the masterpiece that is Superman: Secret Identity but that one is not about the Clark Kent/Superman we know.

Action Comics #775, Superman Peace on Earth, Kingdom Come and the Alan Moore stories "Whatever happened to the man of tomorrow?" and "For the man who has everything"

Superman Peace On Earth, Superman: Unconventional Warfare, Godfall (really good books) and Superman The Journey which I really like as well.

Do all of these come before Ruin Revealed?
