The scene with the guys in wingsuits looked real because....IT WAS REAL! At least the guys flying...

I'm going to get killed for this I think...
But I would not be averse to MoS being filmed in 3D. I feel it would be so cool, if Henry as Superman in the classic suit came flying out of the screen at us.
There. I said it.
Obviously, it should also be available in 2D for those who don't like 3D.
Whatever the case may be, it was very effective. Easily the best filming I've seen of flight in a long while. The fact there was a cameraman up there following these guys really added to the immersion. The scene with the guys in wingsuits looked real because....IT WAS REAL! At least the guys flying...
If it's going to be in 3D then it should be filmed in 3D. Post converted 3D shouldn't be anywhere near this and also movies in general.
QFT
Absolutely, amen to that.
There might be one exception for me, and that would be the original Star Wars trilogy.
t:I see Lucas is on his quest to add more s*** to original trilogy.QFT

Fixed the video for you. And I agree that it would be awesome. For those of you who haven't seen Megamind, watch the part of this clip that starts around 58 sec:

I think it's the agility Metro Man has in mid-flight what I like the most (not just a guy with his arms out in front of him). That's the style I want to see used for Superman flying. It would be completely different from what we've seen so far and give that roller coaster feeling to the audience.
The climatic scene in S:TM didn't really capture this kind of intensity.
I disagree... Just look at Reeve's eyes as he stares at the krypyonite. He's never felt pain before, and it scares the sh** outta him.
The 3D in Transformers was the best of any film to date. Also that last action sequence was seriously over an hour long. I don't think anyone does action quite like Bay.
I just noticed Richard Griffiths as one of the terrorists.![]()

...man, at this point, half the criticisms I see of STM come from people who werent actually paying attention to the film.
people are so spoiled on today's storytelling techniques, they think films cant be told any other way.
Okay, that's an exception since I have never watch the original trilogy on the silver screen.t:
But do you know if the movies will be available in the U.S. only or is it going to be available to the whole world as well?

It's not possible for 3D to NOT be a gimmick. It's inherently a gimmick.
