Just in case we haven't given you enough info on Superman Returns, we thought we should attend the Los Angeles world premiere as well to see what else we could possibly get out of the cast.

While it hasn't officially been confirmed, there has been talk of two additional sequels to Superman Returns. When we asked Stephan Bender, who plays young Clark Kent in the film, whether he'd be returning for the sequels, he smiled and said he probably shouldn't talk about it. Smart kid... but, we'll take that as a yes.

We did manage to get executive producer Chris Lee to say a little more. He told Superhero Hype! that Singer would probably meet with him in Hawaii, since that's where he lives and Singer thinks it's a creative place to work and discuss the upcoming sequels. We'll "see how we do," Lee said.

He was reluctant to give anything away, but he did confirm "all of the actors are signed on for three films"

Sam Huntington, who plays Jimmy Olsen, is so excited that he can't wait for it to happen. As he ran by the press line, he confirmed again to that he "is signed on for another two" and said "let's hope they make them."

I just pray that Singer will go ahead with anyone BUT Zod. Not that I don't hate Zod. I like him...but there's more villains out there and I've got this....funny feeling on what may happen. I hope that I'm wrong..

Uh Michael and Dan CONFIRMED theyd LOVE to explore possible Kryptonian survivors but specifically NOT ZOD.

That was in the moviehole interview.

Steven Bender could play the 18 yr old Clark in 3 years (for the flashbacks).

If they do, I hope they at least recognize Zod as part of Superman's past history.

You could tell Routh was signed on for 3 films in one of his first Supes interviews, lol. Someone asked him if he was and he gave it away with his body language (nodding and agreeing) then went and gave a different answer after thinking about it lol.

Hmmm according to the prequel comic, Zod NEVER happened in the vague history for Returns.

Looks like most of Superman 2 was retconned.

Which one of the three?

I'm sure they'll go with Brainiac. Just for the fact that there are at least 3 unproduced scripts out there from cancelled Superman projects that involved Brainiac one way or another. And Mike & Dan DID recycle some stuff from previous scripts, so...

#3. Lex went to prison immediately following the events of Superman #1 (more or less) as recounted in the comic. His sentence began then with no mention of him ever breaking out to do the stuff he did in Superman II.

And somehow he knows were the FOS is in SR and
"has been there before" like the novel says
. . . :( plot hole?

I have no problem with Zod... Although the more current comic version of him woul work better than the older film version IMO.

I would rather have Metallo for the second film and lead into Brainiac or Darkside for the final one.

Not too sure if I would want Bizarro in this film series... I will wait till I have seen RETURNS first.

Nope. Its seen in the comic.

Hes in the arctic prior to his first meeting with Superman in the vague history of Superman 1 events.

He finds the Meteor Rock (eventually Kryptonite) in the Arctic so its conceivable that he may have detected the FOS as well.

However, the novel is the novel....so far I havent heard any reports that the line was in the film.

Metallo, Brainiac, and Bizzaro are the only way to go for the sequels.

Brainiac for sure. He needs to be tied to the Crystal Tech of New Krypton.

Metallo I dont like. Hes pretty much a Krypto freak of the week Smallville style. This Returns film already uses Kryptonite as a plot device pushing Supes to the edge. No need to do it again.

Bizzaro may not translate to screen so well.. Its funny in the animated version but I duno how it would look with Routh as a zombie corpse-like creature. Theyve already recently explored that whole 'gentle giant' aspect with King Kong anyways. It maybe too soon to rehash it to the public.

not necessarily...i think Parasite would be a more fitting villain for a sequel. he's not as sci fi as a villain as Metallo and Brainiac are. plus Parasite's name isn't as corny as Metallo and Brainiac's...

...i don't think Bizarro should be in any of the sequels. while i'd LOVE to see if Routh could pull off the role, i think most of the general audience would think "didn't they do this for Superman 3?"

'Brainiac' could either be a nickname coined by the Daily Planet or by Lex for that being that appears in the sequel. We'll see.

I definately want them to tie into NK reforming and expanding in space for the next immediate sequel......I dont think Parasite really works into that (maybe why they put him as a secondary villian in the video game).

I think it would work, but with a different approach. He could be something similar to Bad Superman on Superman III: Smart, calculating and evil. Being a clone of Superman his body would begin to "decay" a bit until it got to the "creepy point". He wouldn't be the dumb version of the comics.

I wouldn't mind if Zod showed up again, but NOT in "Superman Returns 2" (that will definitely not be the title, but that's what I'll call it for now) because that would be too much of a rehash of Superman 2. If we do see Zod though, I'd like him to be more like the Brian Azzerello/Jim Lee version in "For Tomorrow." The way they wrote and depicted Zod is the way I ALWAYS want to see him. Pure evil, pure badass, with an unwavering hatred for Superman and EVERYTHING good.

But anyway... Kryptonian survivors... makes me wonder if they'll go the Superman: TAS route and have Brainiac be a Kryptonian. I'd be cool with that. Or maybe we'll see... oh I don't know... the Eradicator (okay, he's not actually a Kryptonian, but a Kryptonian weapon)? How cool would that be? (For me, anyway... I love the Eradicator, as a villain or a hero). Also, Doomsday was created on Krypton, so that makes him a Kryptonian by default, just like the Eradicator. We'll see...

I want to see an alien villain. I'm sorry. But I do! None of these comic book movies from the new wave have an alien villain.
Screw realism!
I want some alien monsters. And Superman is perfect for that since he is an alien. Bring on Brainiac and Darkseid is what I say.

Of course, this can all be taken care of if they would just make a Green Lantern movie already. :)

Brainiac should be the villain for the sequel I already have seen Zod I dont want to see him again, and fir the 3rd, I want Lobo :D

I think I'd rather see Superman fight Rocky and Bullwinkle than Ty-zor. Please, PLEASE let that awful script be put to rest.

I loved the Superman Death and Return story. Alot of things would have to be cut, but I would love to see an adaptation for the silver screen.
