BvS Superman vs Batman movie to feature Wonder Woman?

This idea was floated around in the Misc forums a while back but what are peoples thoughts on the destruction of Krypton being the catalyst for accretion of the wider DC universe including WW and the Amazons?

I don't want that. Not everything in the DCCU has to be tied to Superman and Krypton.

Yeah, I am sorry but there is no need to demystify Paradise Isle or Atlantis, or Zatanna. There is no need to not have Lex Luthor be a polymath genius who could make amazing tech without copying it from K-tech debris. The audience is aware that heroes have various origins that come from different "genres" if you will, by now. They will accept that "magic" and mythological gods, backward talking sorceresses, interstellar peace keepers, a swash buckling vigilante and an alien refugee can exist side by side. Marvel already bet big on something like that and the gamble paid off to the tune of $1 billion and a half. :cwink:

Yaaaaas! So much truth, my brotha. I still can't believe that people still doubt that heroes of drastically different backgrounds can mesh well after we just got The Avengers.

It's like, what do you people need to convince you? A damn time machine to the future just so you can see how well the movie is received? Lawd.

You have to admit though it's an easy and logical way to explain how things come about.

How does it tie into Wonder Woman?

I do think it makes sense that maybe Krypton maintained order in the Galaxy, and thus now there will be chaos and alien invasions on a regular basis.

They have the Green Lanterns for that.

It's also lazy and unnecessary! :cwink:

I still haven't seen Oblivion or that last Malick film (maybe she got better), but Olga Kurylenko was AWFUL in Quantum of Solace. She's beautiful, but she's a terrible actress.
Also, I don't think those 3 are testing for WW. Maybe for Talia, Lady Shiva or another character. I don't see WW in them at all.

I'm really liking the idea of Diana being an asian-ish looking woman. I mean, it would be a little weird to have everyone in the Justice League be a whitey. So they'll probably go with Jon Stewart for Green Lantern, and have the Amazons be a more vague skin color / culture. Which I'm a huge fan of, even if I don't know how to phrase it gracefully.

I'm digging Olga Kurylenko for the role, and it's not like she can't buff up. Why are male actors expected to put on or lose weight and muscle for films, but women can't? She can buff up a bit. It won't make her any less feminine.

If they make Wonder Woman be pure eye candy for Justice League, then the DCCU officially f'ed up.

Classy comment dude. Maybe you should audition for Wonder Woman?

Maggie Gyllenhaal is actually a good-looking woman, and the incessant comments from fanboys that she ruined the film franchise because she isn't a babe (in their eyes) are embarrassing.

The Green Lanterns can't police everything, in fact they shouldn't in a "gritty, realistic" world.

In the DCU, the GLs police and maintain order in the galaxy. Like it or not, that's the way things are. Makes no sense for it to be the Kryptonians, imo.

And don't use "gritty" and "realistic" as some kind of barrier for why the GL's shouldn't police everything in the galaxy. MOS is a fantastical movie that while gritty, throws realism out of the window...and I don't expect that to change in the future.

From what I remember the idea being thrown around was that Kryptonian bacteria made it's way to Earth long ago and somehow mixed with an ancient cultures DNA eventually resulting in the super strength Amazons, and that basically the Greek gods they worship exist in the same way they do in real life - as myth. It's a similar notion to the Mars creating Life theory whereby it's hypothosized that life actually began from Martian bacteria being deposited on Earth. When I first heard the idea I actually thought it was a brilliant work around because of how much of a Sci-Fi world Man of Steel is and how difficult I believe it is for Wonder Woman's traditional back story to work in that world.

It's not lazy to do something logical.

To me, it is lazy to connect them like that when they could all have their own separate mythologies and origins. Just my opinion.

It said Jaime was out due to her Marvel contract. Who knows tho.

But the Affleck is going to get some extremely attractive woman on his arm. Not too shabby.

That was an assumption on the part of Variety. The fact that she has been talking to them at all has shows that her Marvel comittment is not an issue.

Also, I believe it was Jett from BOF that said specifically that WB didn't care and was still interested.

Gadot is the least worse choice for the part (that includes Alexander as well), in my opinion.

Olga played a pretty convincing warrior in Centurion. She does not have a issue getting down and dirty

Everytime we get more news on new characters appearing in the movie I can't help but think that WB is so desperate for what Marvel has got going on that they are like "Screw it! We don't want to wait for individual movies! Let's just throw them all in one movie together right away. WE HAVE TO DO IT NOW!!!"

:)

All these girls weight like 50-52 kg... Meh.

Christian Bale weighed in at 66 kg when he was cast as Batman.

I actually thought she was the BEST aspect about that movie.

But yeah, of those actresses shown, I think Yung has the closest facial structure for WW.

IDK, I think Olga still looks vulnerable even when trying to be perceived as tough.

Which would make for an excellent Talia. Darn you Miranda Tate and your blinking death scene!
