Pre-crisis superman is prob the most powerful comic book character ever, so he'd take hulk. Post crisis superman would still win, but wouldn't be by much. Superman is getting more powerful recently, so he'd take hulk a bit easier also.

DC during the Silver Age had other characters both hero and villain that were even more powerful than Superman.

Superman was usually a match for Darkseid but in the villain category there were: Mordru, Stargrave, Validus, the Emerald Empress, Starbreaker, and Mongul. The heroes include: Mon-El, Wildfire, and Vartox.

Even Pre-Crisis Superman wasn't immune to some things. I remember Virus X from Krypton, and age even. The 1,000,000 year old Pre-Crisis Superman.

The pre crisis Superman had a relatively normal human lifespan although it was human optimal. They did a few stories about him and his grandson. He was telling stories about superheroing to the kid while his daughter chewed him out about telling the kid the stories.

In Pre-Crisis, there was 3 issues that dealt with Pre-Crisis Superman and age.

The first had a 10,000 year old Superman, who broke through Kryptonite chains on the cover. The second story had an even older Superman in an old superhero folks home. The third and last (that I know) had a robot 'the Healer' (the best in the galaxy, so it said) trying to revive a 1,000,000 year old Pre-Crisis Superman frmo sleep. The Healer said that because Superman was so old, he would turn to dust in a few seconds.

it has nothing to do with canon, it´s a convention adopted by online forums that devote to super-rumbles.

For instances, it is ASSUMED that Superman fights bloodlusted in these brawls, yet canonwise, I can count with the fingers in one hand the number of times that has actually happened in comic continuity.

The probability of a Bloodlusted Superman facing a bloodlusted whatever is so remote we should discard it altogether.
