Supernatural Season 13

So if it gets picked up it will have 4/5 characters right? I wish they would stick to the SP formula and do like 3 max.

I believe it will be 6 regulars actually. Jodie Mills, Claire, Donna, Alex, Patience (the psychic granddaughter of Missouri) and Kaia who was just introduced.

Sam and Dean stuck in a world with giant creatures. Jack in Apocalypseworld with Mary and warmongering Angel warriors. Cas and Lucifer trying to stop a sociopathic Michael from invading our world and starting the apocalypse. I gotta tip my hat to the showrunners. This is the most interesting the show has been in years.

Agreed. Took them awhile to get here, but I never thought Supernatural would start dabbling in "Multiversal" ideas.

In the episode with Sam and Dean pulling off the heist...the guy Luther they robbed...isn't that the client Bela used to work for? I swear I remember her saying Luther on the phone. If so, great callback.

Yeah it will be pretty interesting, even if it just last 1-2episodes like they tend to do with cliffhangers. I don't know if we will get actual giant creatures(budget). I find the Michael stuff the most interesting.

Nope. Bela never made mention of a Luther.

considering it's halfway through its 13th season, please explain how is this show still on air?

does it get massive ratings or simply really dedicated fans and support from network execs?

CW cares about tweets and tumblr those fanbases are loud for this show. CW rarely cancels a show anyways.

It has unusually gone up in the ratings over the years and has a massive fanbase that keeps it going. Ratings themselves are becoming increasingly irrelevant as social media takes up more importance and people timeshift or otherwise watch the series outside of regular methods.

A. Cheap to produce.

B. Consistently 2nd-3rd highest rated show on the network.

C. Dedicated fans.

lol I always see this stated and yet TheCW is littered with cancelled shows.

Supernatural is no different from Greys Anatomy, they bring in ratings.

Supernatural has a massive fanfic base. Yaoi and all that ****.

It's the highest non-DC Comics related show on the network. Plus, the president of the CW is a huge fan of the show.

Maybe the shows I watch or notice from them just never get cancelled early. None of the DC shows are gone, I don't watch Vampire shows they have but those lasted a long time, 100 is still on, Reign is still on, they have the Jane Virgin, Crazy Ex, Izombie. Only show I watched and got cancelled was the one with Amell's brother getting telekinetic powers.

The Tomorrow People

The Tomorrow People

Yes that show and I actually enjoyed it.

I remember CW advertising another teens get super power show and that got canceled. Did that show with the CW go to girl starring in it get cancelled? She was the main female in Tomorrow People and always seems to appear in CW shows.

Reign is cancelled, it ended last year. The DC shows bring in ratings along with The 100. JtV and CEx-GF continue to be around because they win actual awards and bring some prestige to the network. TVD was the highest rated series on the show until The Flash came along.

TheCW has a major deal with Netflix, if it is poor in ratings but strong in streaming views it makes it easier to renew. If they make it to a 3rd season, a 4th is guaranteed due to syndication. And due to their deal, Netflix prefers to have shows that have an ending which is why by the time CW decides to cancel a show with tenure they give them a renewal to wrap things up properly.

Yeah but it wasnt about super powers. It was some show about talking to her father in the past through a radio or something and helping her track down a murderer.

Frequency

So I assume this is the semi pilot for Wayward Sisters.

I thought it was a solid pilot for Wayward Sisters...

I feel like there were to many characters in this and if it gets sent to series, I want it to be like 3 main characters.

It needs to be set up like Supernatural. Jody and one or two others as the main characters. With recurring allies doing their own thing on the side and helping Jody and the other main character(s). Or have Jody be the only main character and have her work cases with a rotating roster of recurring characters.
