SUPERNATURAL Season 8! - Part 1

"Gank." I kind of hate that word. I know it's in-character for them to use it, but I just hate the sound of it. I kind of wince every time they use it in the show, which is a lot.

I don't know, I kinda liked Gank. Haven't heard that word since 90's Hip Hop.

Probably because Carver had experience running a show with Being Human.

Like ShredderX mentioned they are saving up more supernatural allies for Sam and Dean, the Golem, Kate the werewolf, Benny, James and his Familiar. THey are definitely rebuilding their universe.

Wow, didn't know that. Hopefully we can get some decent" Being Human "typr Werewolves on the show in the future.

Yeah, even with th iffy cgi ate least being human ATTEMPTS to do something cool with their werewolves.

Misha Collins is once again a series regular for Season 9 and will direct an episode!

Best news ever for "Supernatural" fans! The CW has confirmed to Zap2it that Misha Collins, our favorite angel-gone-rogue, has signed on to return to the show as a full-time series regular in the already announced Season 9. In addition, he plans to direct an episode -- making him the second cast member, after Jensen Ackles, to step behind the camera on the series.

Currently, Collins' character, Castiel, is embroiled in a major storyline -- he's just learned that a tablet exists that could banish all angels from earth forever, and Heaven is willing to do just about anything to keep the demons (and the Winchesters) from getting their hands on it. Naomi (Amanda Tapper) has been messing with his mind, and giving him orders that he only processes on an unconscious level.

We recently visited Collins on the "Supernatural" set, where we discussed whether or not Castiel is aware of Heaven's disturbing manipulation of his life.

"There's a fine line with Castiel. It's a little bit difficult to tell what's going on, how much he's conscious of," Collins says. "Castiel is being programmed by Naomi, and yet, it seems as though, largely, he's being programmed on an unconscious level. It's been a balancing act for me, deciphering how much he's aware of what's going on, and how much he's not. But he does take moments away to go ask her questions, so he's consciously communicating with her to an extent."

Orb's avatar fits well to my reaction to the news.

I've sorely missed the presence cas had back in seasons 4 and 5...this is terrific news.

This makes me wonder if something will happen to Castiel's abilities....he played a major role as a series regular when he was a fallen angel(and I never understood why he was a series regular in season six since he didn't play that big of a role until later in the season, such as season seven). What if Naomi pulls Castiel's grace out and he's human next season?

So how about this, at the end of the season Heaven's gate is shut instead of the Hell Gate. Locking angels out, stranding Cas forcing him to stick with the winchesters full time, and demons are running rampant. Or both the Hell Gate and the Heaven Gate are shut.

Or maybe they only succeed in shutting the Stargate.

:o

I wonder if James was meant to be based off of Constantine the same way Cas was.

First thing I thought of with James was The Dresden Files, honestly.

8x16 "Remember The Titans" (AIRS TONIGHT!)

Zeus, huh? What a d-bag...

Zeus, huh? What a d-bag...

Yep. And the mom was a dumbass to let him out of the trap.

So Meg is back next episode. She looks like Crowley rode her hard and put her up wet.

So hard and wet she went blonde again. :funny:

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but...is Prometheus the first god Sam and Dean meet that was not a *****e right from the beginning?

Probably since just about every non human is a *****e at first in this show

Great news, Cas is always great to have around.
I agree, I want him to appear more and more, although that unfortunately, may involve losing his powers, but I hope not.

Zeus, huh? What a d-bag...
What a surprise... NOT! Cool episode, but I mostly care about this arc the Winchesters are involved in atm.

Yeah, which I kkinda hate to be honest... Anna, Uriel, the Gods from Hammer of the Gods, Balthazar (sort of), Zachariah, Raphael were *****es, Michael was a *****e as well and the list goes on. Gods, Angels, whatever... the only one who seemed to be fine was Alfie (:woot:), but he bit the dust fast... :(

Back to the ep, I love the fact that the guys finally have a "batcave" and I also love the Dean praying moment, last time we saw that was in Season 4, in the episode with Famine. Emotional scene to be honest; also, I wonder what happens to Sam, is that because of the trials or just regular disease? Either way, didn't the tablet say "whoever does the trials is protected from any kind of harm" or something like this? Oh and before I forget, glad that Zeus was killed (or not? remains to be seen HA HA!) by another god, rather than the boys, that would seem to easy!

The show returns March 20th with Episode 17 Goodbye Stranger:

SAM, DEAN, CASTIEL AND MEG TEAM UP AGAINST CROWLEY AND HIS DEMONS — Castiel (Misha Collins) reappears in Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean’s (Jensen Ackles) life and tells them Crowley (guest star Mark Sheppard) has unleashed several demons into a small town. The demons are looking for Lucifer’s Crypt, which holds a valuable asset, but Castiel lies to Sam and Dean about what it is. While interrogating a demon, the three discover Crowley has been torturing Meg (guest star Rachel Miner), who knows the exact location of the crypt. Sam and Meg fight to hold Crowley off while Dean and Castiel go in search of the crypt. Thomas J. Wright directed the episode written by Robbie Thompson (#817).
