SUPERNATURAL Season 8! - Part 1

I want Lucifer back on the show, because of Mark Pellegrino. There is much more that could be done with that character, and the talents of Mark Pellegrino.

If they did bring Lucifer back for reals then they would have to use a different actor since the vessel played by Pellegrino was worn out and presumably died after Lucifer jumped over to Sam.

I have confidence they could make it work.

Lucifer could return in his old vessel in the same way Cas keeps returning in his, despite getting destroyed.

that's because god brought cas back. i doubt he would do the same for luci.

yes, normal angels can resurrect humans through the power of heaven, but we've never seen them bring back other angels let alone archangels.

if angels could resurrect each other, i think cas would have brought back a few already.

...he would be resurrecting his human vessel, not another angel.

But it wouldn't.

Yes it would. Its just a vessel. They can be resurrected, and this show has been adapt at using mythology and coming up with stuff to achieve a goal. If they want Lucifer back and Pellegrino playing him they could come up with something.

That would have been dumb, and wouldn't have made a lick of narrative sense. There's no reason to bring them back, ever. There was a story to tell using those characters and they told it. People need to get over that.

I get that. Only reason I had that idea was because in some biblical texts it said that Michael (and or Lucifer, I forget) were the only things that could kill Leviathan. I'm cool with their stories being done. If anything Adam is who I'd like for them to bring back.

They hardly even used Michael or Adam. Saying there is absolutely no more story for an arch angel as important as Michael and one of the Winchester brothers is incredibly short sighted.

The same could have been said about Cas after they killed him in 5, but they have come up with plenty for him.

Yeah, his story is done. He was brought in to bring forth the Apocalypse, and Sam and Dean averted it. He doesn't like humanity and wants to destroy it, there's no point in treading that water again.

Also, if Lucifer were to come back, it wouldn't be Mark Pellegrino, because if you remember Lucifer burned through that vessel.
That story yes, it's done. That doesn't mean they can't come up with a different one. And wasn't the main goal the SAME for every evil baddie out there? What do you think that Eve wanted? Or Dicky?

Really? I doubt he can't fix it.

What does it matter if Nick (Pellegrino's character) died ? Archangels/Angels/Demons and so on, only need the body, they don't necesarily need the soul of that human in order to fill the vessel.

Very true. Plus that body was starting to rot by the time Sam said yes.

You know what I just thought of that might make for at least an interesting villain for next season? A soulless Adam. A human villain for supernatural know how (which he could have picked up in the cage) might be an interesting change of pace from angels and demons.

Lucifer isn't mentioned in the Bible at all (unless you count Satan, but they are actually considered to be two separate beings), and neither one are used when talking about Leviathan.

Also if Lucifer could just heal his vessel whenever it would burn out, why would he need to jump into Sam if that was the case?

Exactly. Sam was MEANT to be lucifers vessel, that's what all the demon blood and psychic training was for, his body was being conditioned and augmented to be able to handle the raw power of lucifers essence.

Lucifer was Kripke's endgame, and the story he told with that character had a beginning, a middle, and an end; to bring him back as the main threat would be pretty lazy writing. The only reason Halucifer worked out, was because he was just a hallucination and not the big bad, and it made narrative sense.

I agree wholeheartedly. The Lucifer story was told in full. Great character, but it has come and gone.

It's looking far more like we're going to get more of Abaddon and the demons next year, with Angels very possibly sidelined. Maybe we'll see Hell go on a full-fledged offensive for the first time ever? From 1-4 it was a coordinated effort to unleash Lucifer, and since Crowley's taken over it's been more about consolidating power and maintaining a stable business.

anyone wondering the side effects of shutting hell down if killing the leviathan "Dick" sent cas and dean to purgatory wonder what shutting the damn hell gates will do

I think that next season will revolve around fighting Naomi and the angels. I also predict that the trials will turn Sam into an angel (at least for a time).

The demons shouldn't be a threat after this season since the gates are going to be closed (presumably). The only exception to that could be that demons who are currently on Earth would still be able to stay on Earth so long as their current host doesn't die or they get exorcised. After all, just because the gates are closed it doesn't mean that everything from there will get sucked back in.

Well, that was the single most anticlimactic season finale of Supernatural ever. Hopefully next season is the last. This show has just run it's course

If Eklypze is watching online where I'm thinking he's watching it online. Then I'm guessing he's mistaking the season's 22nd episode "Clip Show" as the season finale. There's a 23rd episode this Wednesday which will serve as the season finale.

Again, just a wild guess.

Yeah the finale hasn't aired yet.
