since we now seen two sets of people with the same power (nathan and west, claire and kensei), do you guys think that someone could have sylars power of understanding how things work?

discuss...

Perhaps Sylar and Peter share the same power. Which would mean that Sylar wouldn't HAVE to kill to get the power, only so that he could be unique.

shouldnt peter have absorbed sylar power to understand how things work?? i mean he was right next to him when they were fighting.

What makes you so sure Nathan and West have the same power? Or that Claire and Kensei have the same power? Isn't Kensei supposed to be immortal? That's not the same as being able to heal. I think West can do more with his ability than just fly. It would be really lame if he can't.

maybe, maybe not. Sylar is patient zero. i think some rules may apply differently to him. besides, Sylar has to open up (and ingest) someone's brain to access their power. Peter isn't going to do that.

Maybe you are gonna be really desapointed... I think someone confirmed that we were gonna see that some people share the same powers in early season 2 episodes... And who said Claire isn't inmortal?

Ouch!

But she wasn't really really dead... if she were, then her cells wouldn't have regenerated (I don't think dead cells can reproduce)

Anyway, if Kensei is intended to be inmortal, it doesn't mean he can't be killed, just that he doesn't die of natural causes, like old age...

well he did get shot in the chest with arrows and heal. So it shows its more than just not aging or dying of natural causes.

It would be lame if characters had the same powers.

she was as good as really really dead, just as Peter was. she only healed after the object was removed. what's important here is that we were given a view of the limitations of her ability as well as the source of everyone's ability. destroy the brain, destroy the ability. consume the brain, consume the ability. claire is not immortal, of that we can be certain.

And yet, she wasn't really really dead, otherwise no regeneration could have taken place...

Anyways, so far, Kensei and Claire's habilities are the same (we have yet to see if Claire ages and dies, if Kensei is truly inmortal)

Well immortal and indestructable aren't the same thing. Vampires are immortal but can be killed with a stake through the heart. If Claire can regenerate, it seems possible that she could live for centuries. If there are immortal charactors in Heroes, they may have te same power as Claire's. We don't know yet.
