GERMAN DISCO! Light shows.... Conan has lost it, the beard is feeding off his brain.... it is awesome.

It would have been more awesome if he shouted in German.

Conan's pretty random and a dork, so this type of thing works well for him. Jay has too much swagger, and isn't willing to go as far for a joke.

Comedians shouldn't have egos. The second a comedian cannot laugh at himself he has pretty much jumped the shark.

Jay can sure laugh at himself, but he's not willing to humiliate himself like Conan is.

He's also much more a media personality.In some of his interviews I've seen, he comes off pretty chummy with the celebrity guests. Like you know they go golfing on the weekends or whatever.

He's not desperate for a laugh, that would be Leno.

Which is why Conan is cool and Leno is not. This strike was an opportunity for Leno to do something different. Instead he's doing the same EXACT thing. I was watching Leno tonight and he did his usual monologue followed by headlines then his guests. No different than his typical shows. Conan on the other hand is exciting to watch. You don't know what he's gonna do. Whether it works or not atleast its different and keeps you interested.

and Conan has always been more entertaining than Leno. Both their scripted stuff is pretty sucky, but Cone can make it work.

Which is why Conan is cool and Leno is not. This strike was an opportunity for Leno to do something different. Instead he's doing the same EXACT thing. I was watching Leno tonight and he did his usual monologue followed by headlines then his guests. No different than his typical shows. Conan on the other hand is exciting to watch. You don't know what he's gonna do. Whether it works or not atleast its different and keeps you interested.

Hhmm... Jon Stewart wanted his writers back and Comedy Central agreed to meet the demands even though they weren't crazy about it they want to keep their bread and butter happy. But the WGA won't allow them to have a separate deal like they've done for Letterman and UA. So that's annoyed him and Colbert.

Both solid shows (TDS/TCR) tonight, with Colbert wearing a fake beard while shredding scripts and claiming Huckabee needs him to balance the ticket and ensure they defeat Obama. Plus there potentially could be a new ice cream flavour. Huckabee/Colbert '08 = Ben & Jerry's Huckleberty

Yeah, both shows were pretty good, everyone's saying Colbert was better than Stewart, but I found A Daily Show a little better than the ColberT ReporT. I starting to hope Huckabee will win the Republican bid just to see what Colbert will do, he's got three pieces of video evidence that Huckabee said he'll pick Colbert as his running mate.

Jon Stewart's interview was boring, but Colbert was funny from beginning to end. Although I thought there was going to be some rule about Colbert not being allowed to be in character.
