Sylvester Stallone is desperate to team up with Kurt Russell for a sequel to 1989 movie Tango & Cash.
The Hollywood stars played Los Angeles policemen who had to clear their names after being framed for murder in the action film. Sylvester enjoyed working with Kurt, and is keen for them to reprise their roles as Lieutenant Raymond Tango and Lieutenant Gabriel Cash respectively.
Sly thinks there is still a story to be told with Tango and Cash and the chemistry between the two characters would be even more interesting now they are older, a source explained.
The two actors have stayed friends since shooting the original film, and have already discussed working together again. Kurt is just as keen on the idea as Sylvester, and has already started thinking of a possible plot for the movie.
Sly is still good friends with Kurt and, like Sly, he is interested in making an old-fashioned detective/buddy movie, the source added. There's a very good chance it will happen.
