The Dark Knight TDK Opening Bat Scene

I'm just not sure how Nolan will incorporate it at the end like he did with 'Batman Begins'.

Well, maybe Nolan doesn't like to repeat himself so he'll have it at the beginning this time.

FADE FROM BLACK:

The Warner Brothers' logo emerges from behind a cloud, looking very much like a FULL MOON with its silvery sheen. The sound of THOUSANDS OF SCREECHES fills the air and then thousands of BATS flood the screen, overtaking the logo.

FADE OUT

FADE IN-

EXT. THE NARROWS

A DARK FIGURE stands atop a run-down apartment overlooking the narrow, twisting streets below. Though hidden by shadow, a pair of demon-like horns can be seen sitting atop his cowled head. He is draped in a seemingly elegant black cape, and an outline of a BAT is prominently splayed across his chest. This is BATMAN.

(CUT TO P.O.V.) Three men in BRIGHT ORANGE JUMPSUITS emerge in the yellow light of the streetlights overhead, each hefting a large cloth sack. (END P.O.V.)

Batman LEAPS off the apartment and it appears that he grows a pair of WINGS. It stealthily glides down and lands without a sound behind the men. He CHOPS one of the men's shoulders, which dislocates with a sickening POP. The other two turn around, and their expressions turn from one of triumph to horror.

THUG ONE:
(fearful)
Batman!

CUT TO BLACK

Up till then, I thought it was describing Green Lantern.

haha thats actually how screenplays are written professionally. i've dabbled a bit so ive kinda started writing like that when it comes to screenplays

Aye, it's all good. Love the scene. I'd like it be Scarecrow rather than some random thug, though.

I'm thinking the opening scene will be Batman catching Scarecrow and putting him into Arkham. He meets Gordon to talk about the growing crime rate (enter Dent) and the Joker.

or Zsasz either way I want to see Bats immediately in action. I think the TLH rooftop meeting with Gordon, Dent and Batman should be later on though, to better est. Dent in the movie.

I like this. The logo is already formed in TDK it shows he's established himself which is what this movie is about. The bats are still there but just flying about or rushing the screen. I'd follow it with street scenes of Gotham though, build some mood before going into the action.

I'm just not sure how Nolan will incorporate it at the end like he did with 'Batman Begins'. TDK will have to have a killer ending scene that would be "SCREAMING" for it to have the title at the end.

Well the way it's looking now there's plenty of potential for a somber ending. Maybe Two-Face jumps out the hospital window and into the night, or just have the rooftop meeting but it's much more urgent and stressful.

Near the end, show Harvey in the hospital, with a protective mask on his face.

Then once the film ends, show that same hospital room, only with his clothes gone, his facemask torn to shreds, and a nurse walking in and calling the police.

Then fade to "The Dark Knight."

what about a joker card fallsslowly past the camer, then more, and more and they come down faster and faster until they make the batman logo?

(i've not read the entire thread so it might have been suggested already)

Isn't this the thread about the beginning of the movie? Not that your idea is bad just thought I'd mention that...

That's a pretty original idea that we haven't seen on here yet! That's a pretty cool idea dude!
