You kind of have to be when your interviewed by Matt Lauer. I don't really think he was acting like a dick he was just very serious, Bale can be very funny if he's being interviewed by a funny person watch his Craig Kilborn interview on youtube.

I like Bale and he's a really good actor but I agree that he can be pissy and blunt a lot of times. If I see him on the street, I would probably not want to go up to him and ask for an autograph. He would probably say "F**k off!". But he's still a great actor.

And I don't get how Matt Lauer was acting stupid. He was just asking questions. Everyone has to ask those same old tired questions. Bale looked the same as he always does so I don't think he was anymore serious than usual just because Lauer was interviewing him.

my sperm count fell from watching the view, but it all came back after i saw that clip and when oldman did the interview, no pun intended.

Oldman as well as the whole TDK cast are all class acts. "I look like a boiled chicken."

I thought that the interview went very well. I thought that Lauer did the best he could catering the group of people that the Today show caters to.

I've just come to realize that Christian really doesn't enjoy doing press work. I don't think that he acted ****ty, that's just the way he is.

^Agreed, he's done many interviews where he is all fun and cracking a smile. He was on Good Morning America for The Prestige and was on Moviefone's Unscripted where he and Hugh Jackman ask each other questions all of which he smiled and did the hand tricks he learned while making the movie.

I don't think he was being a dick at all. If you watch more interviews with him, or read the articles interviewing him--that is typically how he reacts to questions. He doesn't really sugar coat things and can be very blunt. I, for one prefer it over that 'fakey' Hollywood crap you see from a lot of stars. Like he said in a recent article "I'm not a baby kissing politician--I'm an actor." He answered the questions that were posed to him and shed some light on his opinions on the subjects that were brought up--what is dick-ish about that?

It's because he didn't tell any funny anecdotes. That's what actors are supposed to do. No wonder Bale hates the late night talk shows.

I saw him at a Q and A last year and he was actually quite funny. He said he likes watching Beverly Hills Ninja stoned. Doesn't everyone?
