at t.v. spot #15 stop at 0:22... WTF IS UP WITH BATMANS EYES?

diabeetus.jpg

well, it looks eerily similar! :p

The scene with the white lenses is obviously when he fights Clayface and Man Bat, since it looks like animated garbage.

People need to calm down about the lenses. Especially after only seeing a shot that lasts for a less than a second in a TV Spot. In the context of the film it'll be great.

I think its funny. People were complaining that Batman should have lenses. Then we get lenses and people complain that it looks stupid. You can't win with this crowd. I'm amazed that WB and Nolan still listen to the fanboys at all.

The laughing in #15 is awesome.

That's why the whole thing makes me :lmao:

The lenses look demonic which is bad ass

& has anyone caught the tv spot with Joker smiling from the prologue then saying Why so Serious towards the end?

They did the same thing with the fighting. First they complained that the fighting was too fast in BB and you couldn't see anything. Then when they get what they want with this film, where you can see Batman throwing punches left and right, they say it's too slow (even though Batman was taking the baddies down pretty damn fast). People will complain just to complain no matter what happens. Oh, and even if they sped up the fighting in that scene, you can bet your ass they would complain it looks fake now. :whatever:

Well put :whatever:

People have to just stop bi***ing

People complaining about lenses=Hitting them at 80 mph with a semi.

Oy...

What makes you think they do listen? Listening to fanboys [yes, I am a total fanboy :oldrazz:] is a big no no, IMO. Alot of Spider-Man fans wanted Venom and Gwen Stacy in the Spidey movies, and Avi Arad listened to them, and forced Sam Raimi to use them. The result was the horrible Spider-Man 3.

I like to think that everything Chris Nolan did with TDK was his own choice and his own ideas.

i know,****ing stupid asses,there harder than *****es.
I'm having trouble making this out...

and on the lenses topic, I personally think it looks a little odd, not atrocious or damnable or a travesty of the character...just a bit odd. but I want to trust nolan and these reviews. I have a feeling if it looked goofy or even mediocre nolan would chuck it. You'd think if it was really that bad someone would have mentioned it. I didnt even see anything in the CHUD review about it, but I could be wrong about that. In the context of the movie, the lenses might look awesome...they look a bit large and ill-fitted but that might be because of the youtube video. They look like they might be 'glowing' and if so, the light might sort of blur around the edges and make them seem larger than they appear in a grainier video.

Not to sound too girly, but okay we saw a split second of the lenses-- hard to pass judgment on something that went by quicker than a blink of an eye. Now--how about some reflection on open shirt Bruce sitting on a yacht!!! ;) Wait, that's what I've been doing all day. :p

If anyone has a DL link for #14 I will be your best friend. For serious. I have swag! :p ;)

Dude, it's BEEN at this level of nit picking. 3 to 4 pages of conversation about that topped the shrimp kabob that the Joker munched on.

this is from a few pages back but I just thought I'd like to contribute. Lights on or off the Joker...being scared of batman?? I thought one of the biggest points of Joker's character is that he's nearly fearless of the guy. Bats eventually figures out that he wont be reasoned with, so he submits him to a beatdown, but most likely that doesn't even work. Hence him being referred to as somewhat sadomasochistic in this scene, laughing while he gets his arse kicked.

Fanboys are a small but powerful market. Harry at AICN can bury a film with negative reviews. WB would be ******ed not to listen to the fanboys. It doesn't mean they will cater to their every whim but they definitely do listen to what the fans have to say. Any jerk-off can write a poor review on his site or blog and the viral effect is undeniable. Its asinine to think everything Nolan did was his own choice borne from his own ideas. There's a large amount of commercialization with these properties and fanboy input is one factor of that.

I'm gonna have to defend the other side on this. So let me put this in perspective:

1) The batfranchise was receiving flack for being too dark, so WB goes ahead and makes the franchise light camp

2) Spidey fans felt that Venom deserved to be in the new movies, so Raimi writes a quick and very small role for the third film

3) Hulk fans thought Lee's film was too boring, so Marvel goes with a film that's action-packed and very light on story

Now I can go on and on, but I'm sure you get the point. There is not once instance there that turned out to be a good thing, JUST because the direction was taken another way.

It's just foolish to assume that everyone that wanted lenses, should like this. Just as it's foolish to assume that anyone who doesn't like Nolan's direction with this franchise, would absolutely love Director X's vision of the franchise just because Nolan is replaced. I mean c'mon.

I'm not making that claim at all. I just pointed out the facts. People complained that lenses should be a part of the cowl. Now, people are complaining that the lenses look stupid. You just can't please everyone and fanboys are the worst group to try and please b/c they have a narrow outlook and any deviation is met with criticism. And those who do accept a deviation are implicitly labeled as traitors by other fanboys who refuse to accept the deviation. Its such a vicious cycle. Can't we all get along?

Oh no, Crook is firing common sense! You guys better duck before you get hit!

Here's the kicker: I'll bet good money that if I looked back a ways, I'd find posts where those of you saying "The lenses are great!" were, two years ago, saying "Lenses are stupid, no lenses!"

So, if it's okay for you to say "Hey, lenses look good after all," why is it not okay when the opposite side says "Hey, lenses look bad after all," or "These lenses look bad and should have been done differently"?

My suggestion is as such: in the future, trying thinking before you post nonsense like this:
i know,****ing stupid asses,there harder than *****es.
...and end up looking foolish for it.

Some people aren't looking for anything logical. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some people just like to complain.
