Looks like warner's are already gettin ready for the dvd madness (boxsets, exclusive thingymidoo's...), and the film is still in the cinema! (not that im complaining) :woot:

First off, an article from Joblo about it (probably not all real or genuine, but nice lookin stuff):

A forum with the latest pics and designs:

And a few of those pics, the Cowl and Batpod sets:

(shame there arent any Joker-themed ones...yet )

I believe these too be fake, as they include the cast listing and poster taglines. Also, the image on the Blu-Ray cover has been vertically compressed. Dead giveaway. If they were real, I would have gone for the steelbook. I suppose they could be (very) early mock-ups that ended up being leaked, though.

i hope those are fake because aside from the batpod it looks sort of lame....i was hoping for new artwork for the dvd release.

Looks like I'll be double-dipping for this one.

At this point, though, I don't care about the case. Just gimme the thing on DVD so I can watch it constantly. LOL.

Hell, I'm honestly considering getting blu-ray just for TDK.

Yeah, just like with Batman Begins. Oh, wait...

they could have done new artwork with begins, the boxset from july had all sorts of promo pics in it that were never used, so its not like its an impossibility, plus, look at the amount posters and such for begins compared to TDK, its a whole new ball game in terms of marketing. it's not crazy to think there will be more promotional stuff on its way.

I normally don't buy boxsets, but I'm definitely jumping on any Dark Knight ones that I can find. The release date is going to be insane. My sis (who works at Best Buy) said there was a long line outside the store hours before the release of 300. Imagine what TDK is going to be like!...

Please say me the 2-Disc BatPod (1:18 scale) Collector’s Edition will really exist...

Would be a nice few ideas though....IF...

I'll buy all of this. It's pretty amazing work.

I actually dont like either one.

Ill just stick with the regular 2 disc version.

I dont like special items that are just holders for the discs, for one that they wont fit in my shelf with the rest of my dvds (thats just my personal reason) and those types are the more likely to lead to discs being scratched.

I would think it would be cool if they sold something like a Batpod WITH the Dvd, but not with it INSIDE.

Its a bit disappointing, hope, they put out a Joker version.

I ALREADY preordered at FYE..i better get an awesome version not a plain ol dvd case....

How did you already pre-order? It hasn't even been announced yet? Did I miss something?

Umm....the steel one will or might scratch your discs still, my Halo 3 speical edition had a metal case and it still scratched my games and so did everyone elses.

I am not so concerned about the packaging.

What does interest me is this idea: I hope the WIDESCREEN version of the DVD converts to FULL FRAME during the relevant sequences to (sort of) recreate the wonderful experience we had in IMAX theaters this summer.

Wouldn't that be fun?!!

I hope someone at WB has thought of this. Maybe it could be some sort of "Special IMAX Edition" DVD?

What do all of you think?

my local FYE has signs hanging all over the store front to pre order your dvd because its out right before xmas and will be hard to get otherwise

That was only because the Halo 3 cases were designed stupidly; the inside of the case was not lined with plastic (steelbook DVD cases are lined with plastic), and to make matters worse, the "nubs" holding the discs in place were also stupidly designed, causing the disks to become dislodged during transport, so they would rattle around the case and scratch up.

Steelbook DVD cases do not suffer from either problem (I own several, myself).
