The Dark Knight Rises TDKR fan trailers thread

Yay, here it is! My tribute to Chris Nolan's Batman films. Inspired by the video "Harry Potter - Through the Pensieve"

I think it's more effective if you watch it on the actual youtube page instead of the embedding. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JURelDT6aD8

This is a really good video. The volume was off in some parts, but it was still enjoyable to watch. Awesome

Thank you! Yeah your right about the sound. I tried my best to adjust the volumes right when editing. Thanks for the feedback.

I thought it was pretty good. Kudos Goku.

Goku? Video editing? Now i've seen everything...

Not bad.

Never grow tired of watching this one.

I HAD to watch it again after viewing Goku's video. It's my favorite one by far, it's so amazingly edited and Caine's monolog is divinely delivered in accord with the video. 10/10.

Goku, your video is good, you brought a lot scenes that are wonderful and are rarely used - Bruce and Alfred in the elevator comes to mind, also "I think you're trying to help", one of my favorite scenes! - but the editing could be improved, like some of the lines could be more subtle. Also, I don't have any sympathy for the songs, they may have worked with HP but I wish you used those from the Batman OST instead.

Your video made me want to rewatch both movies in sequence again, something I haven't done in a long time. :yay:

EDIT: Your video is heavily emotional, you should work more on some of these scenes, like Bruce as kid with his dead parents, Alfred driving a hallucinating Bruce home, Batman mourning Rachel on the wreckage, etc.

Thanks for all the great points! My editing does need improvement. I'm just starting out. I really admire guys like themanbatman11, silverlightsaber and soylentbrak. They're work is phenomenal!

It's funny that you brought up the prestige video. I had the same idea to make that video back in December when the first theatrical trailer came out. I never did it because I was too busy/Didn't feel like I was up to it. I'm glad I didn't though, because the one that that guy made is great and far better then anything I could have made.

I suppose I should share this little thing I worked on a while ago. The New Scooby Doo Movies Batman episodes re-made with the Nolan Batman. First I made a trailer or two:

Then I tried assembling the clips into a short film of sorts (linked because I can't embed it):

Good effort, Goku. The music at the start lyrically suited what was being shown on the screen. Off topic, anyone else realise that the fire on Dent's face actually takes the shape of the Nolanverse bat symbol?

Good stuff Kakarot!
I enjoyed this very much, and I dig your musical choices too
