CAMBRIDGE, Ill. - A teenager is being hailed as a hero for saving his aunt from a fire at their house, but he lost his own life when he went back into the burning building to search for the family's two cats, authorities say.

Why do people feel the need to act stupid around critters?

Cats are much smarter than kids, they don't hide in a closet from the scary flames. Odds are that the cats would get out themselves.

And I beg to differ. A lot of people are close to their pets. I would try to save my dog in a fire. I doubt I'd even be able to find the cat.
