A young woman who won over $3 million in the lottery when she was just 16 says she blew it all on wild shopping sprees, breast implants and cocaine.
Rogers, from Cumbria in northwest England, was a shop assistant when she hit the jackpot in 2003. Now 22 and the mother of two young children, she says she has about $32,000 left.

"I honestly wish I'd never won the lottery money -- and knowing what I know now I should have just given it all back to them,” she told in an interview published in Sunday's News of the World.
Rogers said she spent the money on homes for herself, her parents and her grandmother. She bought expensive cars and gifts and lent money to relatives. She spent more than $730,000 on designer clothes, partying and having her breasts augmented, according to the Daily Mail.
And she estimates she spent $400,000 on cocaine -- most of which went to a boyfriend.
"I was spending a fortune on cocaine, a nasty evil drug which tears your life apart," she told News of the World. "I might as well have thrown it down the toilet."
Rogers said she was far too immature to have been entrusted with a fortune.

"I was just too young to cope with suddenly having that amount in the bank when I'd come from nothing," she told News of the World.
"In the past six years I've sunk into a black hole -- a black hole that at one point I thought I could never crawl out of."
She said she became so depressed that she attempted suicide three times.
Rogers now lives with her mother and said she has taken three cleaning jobs to make ends meet.
"Until you win such a large amount of money at such a young age, you don't realize the pressures that come with it," she told the Mail.
"Winning the lottery has ruined my life. I wish I had never won."

Winning the lottery didn't ruin your life. Being a ****head with money ruined your life. No sympathy for this chick. It's her own damn fault.

feel bad for her kid... could have been setup for college, and had a good start on life... instead his coke fiend my was probably having random guys sniff coke off her breasts....

I can easily see that happening to someone that young, that inexperienced with life, and without anybody providing her any real advice on how to properly invest that amount of money to last her the rest of her and her children's lives. Classic example of ghetto rich.

if she has 32 grand in the bank, which is more then most people have... why doesn't she go to college, and work part time...

See that's the problem with most people. They win the lotto and think they don't have to work or anything..like money doesn't run out. If I win the lotto on Wednesday you best your ass I'm showing up to work on Thursday which is payday. Money makes people morons.

My first reaction is she's an idiot but 16 is a young age to be getting that kinda money.

Yup, carefree spending and such can ruin any life..lottery winner or not.

she could have invested the money in regular bank accounts, and lived off the interest...

im sure this happens alot. the people across the street from me won the RI Powerball when i was younger. i even got to hang out in his mansion. it was awesome for the time being but he's broke now.

But no boob job is way more important. Her family probably did not even caution her either and why would they if they are getting houses and ****. And she barely even got any of the cocaine. What a waste. Who buys 400 grand in cocaine and gets practically none of it.

probably better that she didn't

I've seen several news reports that say it's a common occurrence.

Uh, does she still have the homes and the cars? And she has 32,000 in the bank?
I'd love to win 32,000.

:/

Right. Sell that ****. Tell granny times are rough I'm selling your home.

Those homes are probably going to be repossessed. I'm sure that once the money started dwindling down that they took loans out on them and now they are probably neck deep in debt from those loans.

Wanna know what to spend 3 mil on? A decent house, a nice car and school. Then with whatever is left, you've got gas money and inssurance.

The first thing I would do would be to pay off all my debts and then go from there depending on what I have left.

Since with is having $32,000 considered broke? That's more than I make in a year! To have it at one time is pretty awsome. Yeah, it's no 3-million but it's not like she's hurting either.

Yeah, my first task would be to pay off my family's dept and probably a close friends (who've been there to help me a lot over the years). That own't be too much though. Then I'd buy two decent cars for my wife and I (nothing extravegant... I hate cars) and then I'd pay for my wife to finish college and I'd start attending myself... and go from there.

I'd say I'd buy a house but I'm not sure I really want one yet. I'd probably put it off a year or so until I figured out where to live and such, but even then it'd be a mediocre nice house. No need for anything extravigant. I'd like ot afford it AFTER the lottery money's gone.

Ever notice lottery winners are normally people who have no use for the money. Mostly people that are already rich, retired old people or like this one that don’t know how to handle it.

But oh... I'd hire a masseuse. I love being rubbed :) And she better be pretty too

Why the heck was she buying lottery tickets at 16?

She is in London. I don't think there are the same age restrictions.
