Teen Titans Casting Thread

so i was just thinking if a film with these characters did happen. It would likely get a budget around 150-180million dollars. Now visually cyborg/raven/starfire powers would all be easy to display. Though beast boy would probably be a tougher one to pull off. Since his animal forms would likely be all cgi creations. So do you guys think they would only limit it to certain animals like one flying bird type/a lion type/rhino-dino type. to keep effects shots down for him?

maybe they will have an older teen image

Who do you guys think should make up the roster in the Teen Titans movie.

well they would probably want to use classic lineup with robin/knightwing, beast boy, cyborg, raven, and starfire. Since other members are connected to characters like superman/flash/aquaman and those characters have been defined in film series yet i would leave them out.

I'd say the same line up from the cartoons, except replace Starfire with Wonder Girl... and have the film revolve around the whole Trigon storyline as the basis for the film... they're the only heroes who can save the world, thus they come together to stop him and decide they like working as a team
-Robin
-Cyborg
-WonderGirl
-Beastboy
-Raven

TT2: Starfire in sequel Tamaran storyline

OR

I'd say the same line up from the cartoons, except replace Raven with Wonder Girl... and have the film revolve around the Tamaranean storyline as the basis for the film... Starfire crashlands on earth and brings them together like in the origin ep, but it's much more detailed sisterly rivalry... war etc...
-Robin
-Cyborg
-WonderGirl
-Beastboy
-Starfire

TT2 Raven introduced, Trigon storline

TT3 Terra & Deathstroke.. I figure if you leave the betrayal for last they'd be more trusting of new members before the events of this film

i think the first film should be the judas contract storyline...then trigon or tamaran in the sequels. Judas contract will be more character driven so the audience connects with the titans...then you can go to trigon in the sequel and have all the big crazy effects.

What if terra were introduced in the second movie? Then there would be all this anticipation for the 3rd...

I was thinking Terra would be great in an intro film, but I suspect the Titans wouldn't want to trust any new members after that... and I'd kinda like to see the dynamics of the team before they're betrayed and dishevled

Line-Up
2nd-The Judas Contract(getting rid of the lovers part)
Robin/Nightwing(Dick Grayson)
Cyborg
Beast Boy
Kid Flash
Wonder Girl
Raven
Starfire
1st-Trigon
Villians-Trigon,Deathstroke,Fatal Five
Line-Up
Robin
Wonder Girl
Cyborg
Beast Boy
Starfire
Speedy
Tempest
Sorry for the switch

So my lineup for the first movie would be:

Nightwing, Beast Boy, Raven, Donna Troy, and Cyborg with flashbacks to the original lineup and a couple cameos.

The second movie's opening scene would have an alien ship entering orbit. Enter Starfire. Also Terra would be introduced.

Anyway, another good pick for Donna Troy is the incredibly beautiful Jessica Lowndes:

(this pic is her with less makeup than her other pics. That's why i chose it.)

Nah,Raven Is Summer Glau/Kristen Stewart which depends on younger or older.
Besides she looks more like Donna.
But she would not be bad.

No thanks to both Summer Glau and Kristen Stewart... I like them both as actresses, but not for Raven.

Kat Dennings would be a perfect Raven IMO, She has a naturally sarcastic tone without sounding boring (something Kristen Stewart has been accused of) and she looks the part 100%.

I like the deathstroke suggestion, but I wish people would suggest good actors(Kristen stewart sucks), Shia is actually good, a lot of bad suggestions from page one, there have been a few good ones,
I just hope the movie isn't robin with a side of teen titans.

are you saying that the rest of my cast are not good actors? or just making a general statement about the thread as a whole?

I think it's tough to find good actors between ages 18-30 that look the part. I think my questionable picks are my picks for Raven, Starfire, and Ravager. Terra too. That I admit. Everything else is sound. :)

Summer Glau really doesn't have the voice for Raven though. Raven shouldn't sound like a perky pre-schooler.

I agree with Stewart but her salary demands post-Twilight might put her out of reach.

No I was stating that, overall, there has Been some bad casting, there are few good young actors these days, they do not just let them run there course and slowly get better, as soon as they have an ok role they are instantly typecast and put in starring roles.

Actors no longer gradually get better, they are either instantly good or suddenly terrible.

I don't know... I know some girls who are die-hard Twilight fans but will openly admit that Kristen Stewart isn't a very good actress. I don't really know how much this will actually do for her, salary-wise. For example, most of us love Lord of the Rings, but that doesn't mean Elijah Wood and Sean Astin are pulling in $20-million per movie now.
