As much as I would love this, Kevin Eastman confirmed this is a false rumour.
Ah. Well that explains that then. I was about to say

Viacom really messed up partnering with Netflix on different things when they're planning to launch their own service relatively soon

It's not like Blackman is wrong. He's just a massive buzzkill on this subject. I do hope we can get something that feels like the 2003 series, which had a great balance in tone and amazing look to it.

What did I do? What's your problem?

I respectfully disagreed and even said I wouldn't mind seeing it. Just that I don't see why I would expect them to do that. Never said that nobody should want it. Never said anyone was stupid for wanting it. Never said nobody should talk about it.

We're on a form to discuss and I did so respectfully. Don't get how that's being a buzzkill.

Nothing man.

It's not that big a deal but you are a wet blanket of sorts about a darker take on TMNT lol.

It's cool.

The 1990 film was my first exposure to Ninja Turtles, but I watched the 2003 animated series before my dad introduced me to the 87 series.

Not at all. I've never dampened anyone's want for it. I just have said why it makes sense to not doing it. I am not against it. I even said before that I would watch it or that I wouldn't be mad if they did it. It's silly to come at me about this because I never did such a thing. I'm just discussing.

Sorry if I don't agree with what you want. But that's gonna happen. People are gonna disagree

Mine was the 80s show, but I really enjoyed a lot of that 03 show and I think that should be the basis

Sorry, I shouldn't have said that.

Shall we move on?

I’m getting a bit lost. How many films are there in the most recent run of Turtles films.

4 in the continuity that started in the 90s
2 in the Platinum Dunes series
Now Netlfix is doing a movie based on the animated show Rise of the Ninja Turtles that originally aired on Nick ALSO they just announced a new CG animated theatrical movie

Thanks a lot for this, much clearer now

I still wish there is like a Where the Wild Things Are approach to a film someday.

Would any of you guys ever consider watching a Turtles film for the first time at home without getting pizza?

The most unrealistic part of that first TMNT movie from 1990 is that they ordered Domino's when they live in New York City. They did the same thing for the 2014 movie with Pizza Hut. Gotta love product placement. :o
